    Booked online so pot luck who I got...pink haired Erin! While I waited (I was early) I had the best coffee I've ever had in a hairdressers! She chatted about what I wanted, listened and suggested, then a wonderful shampoo, fantastic cut and great blow dry. VERY reasonable price, probably the best hair cut I've had in 20 years...I'll definitely be back! Thanks Luxe and thankyou Erin!

    I was a walk in, having an hour to kill in Chatswood and this was the busier of the two salons in the Chase.
    The staff who cut my hair was so rough that I jumped on a couple of ocassions four times in the course of cut and blow dry.
    Staff also asked done rather impertinent questions, all in all not a very enjoyable experience.
    I gave my feedback to the reception staff who suggested next time I might want to try other staffs! Perhaps I should have asked that first :-)

    I agree that Luxe is one of the most exceptional salons around, by far. Mani does a fabulous job, I can highly recommend his talents. Cost is a factor for me too, as I was out of work for 6.5 mths this year, and now only work casually (so have to really watch my spending). I keep coming back to see Mani, but the time between visits is getting longer as a result. I've had to take a lot of time off work (no sick leave= no pay) after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis in late July, emergency surgery in Aug ... time's are tough. I've made an appt. to see Mani on 1st Nov for a well-earned pick-me-up; getting your hair done is wonderful for one's mood!!

    This is the best Salon I've been to in Sydney - the hairdressers are so talented (Manny works wonders!) Unfortunately, it is getting so expensive that I have to add an extra week between colours. Even the products have now gone up quite a bit. (That's the reason I've given it four stars, not five). But, I'd rather scrimp on other areas in life and get a really good cut and colour - even if it does cost me over $50 a week by the time I split the cost by the number of weeks in between visits.

    Absolutely outstanding salon ... I too was a salon hopper but Patrick at Luxe has saved my life! He is a truly outstanding hairdresser - I agree with ElizT - not only can they cut well but their colouring is fantastic too .... wish I had been to this salon years ago! Look forward to seeing Patrick and the team soon!

    I am very critical of salons as i was a hairdresser for 10 years. I have been a 'salon hopper' for 1 year and every salon i went to i felt like i had been ripped off either with the colour, service or price!
    I was astounded with the enthusiasm and care in the salon and also the knowledge and confidence my stylist had. Not to mention, the price was extremely reasonable. The only thing i can fault is that my tea was too strong LOL.

    I am a client with Luxe for many years , i get my hair done twice a week and every time i walk in through that door i get welcomed with the most friendly staff.Theres no way you can find a better salon than LUXE , The whole team are very friendly professional and amazing and a very happy environment.I get so many compliments of how shiny and healthy my hair looks !! i recommend LUXE to anyone :)

    I had my fourth keratin treatment yesterday by a lovely and professional girl which shame on me can't spell her name. This lovely lady is the keratin specialist.
    I can say that I have had many many straightening treatments , I'm almost a specialist myself ;-) ...ask me anything and I've been there. This lovely lady was so professional caring and gentle. She also made sure I was out on time .
    The atmosphere in the salon was so professional . Reuben does such a good job running it and it shows. Good on you Reuben i know how hard it is.

    I have had my hair done at luxe for the past 5 years and every time I walk in the door I feel like a princess the most professional reception staff and very creative team of hairdressers overwhelm me every time .

    Yesterday, being the second time i hair modelled for luxe hair salon, was an appointment arranged for my hair to be coloured with the "new technique"- the flamboyage. The last time i hair modelled, was for a hair cut and that experience wasn't the best either. The ends were very choppy and very unprofessionally cut with layers.
    This time round i got there 3:00pm sharp only to be told they didn't know i was booked in and had to wait 30 mins because they were occupied. I told them i needed to leave before 4:50 and then finally got their attention. They didn't bother showing me what the flamoyage looked like, let alone show me a picture. They went ahead and did my hair, the shampoo experience was SO BAD, the staff literally washed my FACE and said she was giving me a shower, laughing it off. They TOOK their time- totally ignoring the fact that I was running late and my whole schedule for that night got delayed.
    THIS, is the worst part. The staff that was in training comes to me at the very end and says how much i'll be charged for "hair modelling" to my shocking surprise. They explained that i was only paying for the "products" since cutting didn't require any products, it was for free but hair dying did. I didn't have a problem paying only if they told that their staff made a mistake and didn't tell their client upfront about the cost. What really offended me was the staff at the RECEPTION. The rudest customer service i've ever had. She was teaching me never to assume (when they were requesting for a hair model and didn't hold any responsibility on their part to let their clients know?!!) when walking into the hairdressers, trying to make their miss okay just because it was busy and then not apologising sincerely either. Are you serious? taking advantage of your hair models because they aren't paying overrated prices for trial hair and aren't "professional models?". She further looks down on me by saying "You know you really can't complain, you've got $200 worth of hair done for just the product price so.." From what i understand, Hair modelling doesn't cost a cent but rather gets paid at times. Own up to your mistakes and sincerely apologise or expect your clients to be spreading their experiences... of the worst. I will NEVER return to pay for my hair to e done there, let alone for hair modelling. Shocking customer service and shampoo skills.

      Thankyou for your honest feedback however I feel the need to clarify a few things regarding the apprentice training.
      Models who attend receive free cuts and heavily discounted colour.We do not make money however just want to reimbursed for the product used and the time paid to the trainer to supervise. The $30 you were asked to pay isnt too much to ask.
      In return we ask of the models to give their time be patient and have some understanding that the apprentice are learning.
      Your dissapointment seems to be with your expectation of the experience . i must say when you have hair half way down back to be coloured ,shampooed and dry in 1hr 45 and then feel there should be no charge unreasonable and unfair.
      The unprofessional choppy layer you speak of is the result of an apprentice learning to cut hair staright we offered to soften the ends however you failed to show for that appointment. I do understand your frustrations however please undestand the kids are learning. Please call

      You are still not understanding the point where the disappointment came. As i mentioned earlier, More than the issue of payment, it's your customer service. Your staff wasn't transparent enough to own up to their mistakes of advising the client upfront about payment (when they should, your other staff agreed you ALWAYS do) and when questioned about that, showing no signs of sincere apologies but rather placing the responsibility on the client to have known better and not assume. As you would have noticed, I didn't complain the first time i visited and were resisting this time too until the offensive encounter with the receptionist just reached my tolerance. Again, are you not disregarding the bad experience of the shampoo part also? Shouldn't there be at least a sincere apology for your miss? If your values are to place quality customer service on your clients and have hair models to spread the word, you wouldn't be taking advantage of them because they don't "pay the price".

      Also, I did not fail to show, we rearranged a date and time and it was YOUR part that failed to either record on the system or let your apprentices know because when i got there, They told me i wasn't booked in, i said i was, i pretty much remember speaking to the owner in fact, has he not told you? Only to hear another response, " Oh our boss? trust him to pass anything on". Look I am certainly not for badmouthing anyone or any business but you have to understand, it only take one bad experience to lose your client. You can't EXPECT your clients to understand your staff's unprofessional service- you're risking too much to do that.

    I don't think you can find a better salon than luxe it is amazing. I had the best experience which is why I keep going back. My hair has never looked better; colour cut and my hair had never been healthier! I would recommend luxe To anyone who wants amazing healthy hair!

    I am usually a plain Jane with my hair but I wanted to try something new. My stylist, Sam, was really helpful, suggesting several different options. I opted for a technique called balayage (a brand new concept to me.). Sam explained the technique, and showed me some examples. I was a little nervous, but she was very patient with me, and all of my questions. The result was amazing! I am so pleased with the colour, and it's perfect for me (as I am a little lazy with the upkeep of my hair!) The whole experience was fantastic, from the initial cheery greeting at reception right through to the super comfy chairs at the wash basins! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this salon.
    A huge pat on the back to all the staff!

    Rita blow-dried my hair last week, WOW! The best blow dry I have had! And what a lovely atmosphere, such friendly staff not the norm in a high end salon from what i have experienced. Great team of professional hair dressers!

    I have Afro hair and struggle to find salons in Australia that know how to handle my hair type. I went in to enquire about the keratin treatment that they offer and had been told it would be great for me. Made an appointment and my hair has never looked better, I am so happy with the results. Not only did Jen give me beautiful shiny healthy looking hair that I have always wanted but it is now so much easier to maintain and has really boosted my confidence. Icing on the cake = the friendly staff members. I will definitely be returning! Thanks Luxe!! xo

    Terrible customer service. Twice I have been screwed around by Luxe.

    First time they booked me in for the wrong week but I let that go because it may have been an honest mistake. They squeezed me in but with a very slow staff who took 5 hours!

    The second time I booked in with a specific staff who had been recommended to me by a friend as I had had terrible luck with other hairdressers. I had to wait four weeks for an appointment and when I showed up I had been bumped to a another staff as another customer needed my appointment.

    At the time they made out it was a booking error but the staff later admitted to my friend that I had made the right appointment with them but was bumped because they didn't recognise me as one of their regular clients and therefore wouldn't mind having a different staff. No one rang to inform me I was seeing someone else I found out when I showed up and they blew it off as nothing important. So bad. A haircut and colour costs around $200-$300 for long hair so I expect to be treated with some basic respect.

    Maybe it's not a big deal to them but when you have a toddler you have to organise babysitting for it's very frustrating to be disregarded by a salon claiming to be "luxurious and 5 star" if that is five star I'd hate to see them do 3 star.

    After many bad experiences with hairdressers, finally I have found a salon that can not only cut my hair, but colour properly as well.

    I have found all the staff to be friendly and professional, and they actually listen to what you want. I needed my hair to match a past style and colour for a photo-shoot that I was doing, and my stylist matched it perfectly. I have been coming to Luxe for 2 years now, even though its a little bit of a drive I would not go anywhere else.

    I feel safe in their hands. Keep up the great work Luxe !!
