This Austrian-German cafe restaurant is a Potts Point institution, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes a range of delicious meals, including the famous schnitzels with rosti, special pork knuckle, deep fried champignons and traditional home made apple strudel. There are delicious seafood and vegetarian options, plus a lighter range of dishes launching in January 2012. The drinks list is extensive, with Australian and International beverages available. Maggie's also caters for functions of up to 30 people. There is an outdoor seating area with a lovely outlook over Fitzroy Gardens.

    I decided to try the apple strudel since it looks awesome on the picture. In reality it tasted even better. Also, the service was great and the waitress made quite the impression on me.

    You always know what you are gonna get at Maggies.

    Fantastic, hearty, European food. Think schnitzels, rosti, meatloaf, chops, goulash etc etc.

    The staff are great and the owner ( formerly of Una's) Maggie is often around, making it all run smoothly.

    The place is usually always busy at night and there's a good reason. You get great quality food at reasonable prices. My pick is always the veal jaeger for main and dutch croquettes as a starter! The schnitzels are a veritable institution in the Cross.

    went to Maggie's after a recommendation from a colleague. Food was delicious and pretty authentic. The servings are quite generous and you shouldn't walk out of there feeling hungry.
    The prices are great considering the servings that you get. Looking forward to trying out their Pork Knuckle night and hopefully I won't be disappointed with what I have experienced so far.
    Definitely a place to visit in the winter time for the schnitzels!

    Very similar to Una's, which isn't surprising as the owner had something to do with Una's previously. Have visited for breakfast and dinner, pretty stodgy but that's why you visit these places. Plenty of drinks in extra big glasses. A separate bar section as well where you can waste away the evening after gorging yourself on a schnitzel.

    From the original owner of Una's in Darlinghurst, you occasionally see Maggie chatting to guests and making sure that everything is perfect.

    Traditional Austrian food. Hearty, good value and great for groups or a dinner for two.
