    I have had 2 not very good experiences in this salon but yesterday i was amazed when a new young hairdresser did my hair! She was fabulous and so good at what she did! I am so happy! I will definately keep visiting this salon until she works there! ;)

    I have been a loyal and very satisfied customer at Makasi for almost 4 years now, whenever I arrive to have my hair done I feel like I am greeted by family, they always remember what I have been up to and product they offer always comes up tops - I get fantastic advice and I love what they have achieved with my hair after other salons had butchered it in the past. I agree they are busy when I'm there but how I see it that they are obviously popular and in demand and I can certainly understand why. Thanks so much to Sonja, Stacey and the team for making my hair fabulous!!

    I saw so many mixed reviews of this salon and decided to try it out. When i arrived, i was given a catalogue to pick a hairstyle from (which shocked me as I always get asked when am on the sides).

    The hairdresser came and greeted me and asked what I liked and improvised it, took me for a hair wash and then cut my hair to the style decided. The hairdresser was very friendly and chatty. After finishing my cut I got a second shampoo (highly impressed!) and after that, styled.

    I was interrupted twice which was ok with me but I am very impressed with the salon will definitely go back, but what shocks me is how, from a salon that I get the best service and cut, so much attention to detail and i also got a decent cup of coffee.

    Overall, a great experience and impressive cut.

    I have been using this salon for over 2 years and I am always happy with the results. In fact, my mom came to visit me and I took her there. She ended loving her new hair style. Sonia, always listen to me and what I would like her to do on my hair. Of course, she sometimes suggests me to try something new, but is 100% up to me and she is happy to please me.

    The staffs are friendly and prices are a bit lower than other places. Yes, sometimes they are busy with the phone but I am ok with that.

    I have also been to the salon twice for a haircut and both times my hair was butchered and i didnt have much say in the style. I asked for a simple trim but they styled my hair into something that resembles dog flaps. The same thing has happened with my sister. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON. As well as haircuts, i have also gotten my eyebrows threaded several times and was not happy with the results. they rushed it and didnt take the proper time in shaping them. In terms of the pricing, threading is cheaper at Makasi although i found the hair cuts alot pricier for a cut that i didnt even want! I asked for a trim and they completely restyled my hair. I am getting married in 3 months and i dont know what im going to do. I cant even wear my hair down.

    I went into Makasi today to have my hair cut and colored for the first time since I moved to Perth. I was very nervous, because I only moved here from the United States two months ago, and before that I had the same hairdresser for almost seven years. I got a half head of highlights and a cut from Stacie, and she did an AMAZING job! She was friendly and relaxed, but attentive. She was the only one there, and did have to answer phones a couple of times, but it didn't bother me at all, because she was extremely detail oriented, and managed to get the foils so close to my head. The color is multidimensional with lots of shades, and the cut is stylish, even, and cute! She did a great job styling as well! The price was lower than most salons in the area too, which is always a plus! Thanks for a fantastic new look.. I promise you will see me again! :)

    I have been going to Makasi from the time it opened over four years ago, without fail every week. I am sorry to hear that some of you may not be happy with the service at Makasi. Pretty much my friends & family are frequent patrons there & have never looked else where since going to Makasi. From my experience all the hair dressers & beautician go way above & out to look after you & cater to request of clients sometimes which are absolutely ridiculous. I'VE NEVER LOOKED ELSE WHERE SINCE I FOUND MAKASI! KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB! I WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY LOST WITHOUT YOU GUYS!!!!

    It surprises me greatly to see so many positive feedback about this hair salon.
    I have visited this salon twice. First visit was okay and prices were reasonable. I was not happy with their level of service though. As the owner was cutting my hair she was also running the whole salon at the same time e.g. answering the phone, serving other customer. I sort of thought maybe they are short staff or having a bad day. Only to my disappointment on the second visit- it clicked that is how the owner runs her salon. During my hair cut, she was interrupted countless numbers of times, serving customers, answering phones etc. I was really afraid of the type of hair cut I was receiving. Not only that she didn't listen to me about the type of hair cut I wanted. She butchered my hair, cut my hair so short that I couldn't even tie-up my hair.

    I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO ANYBODY AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN.

      Hi, I sincerely apologise for the bad experiences you had at our salon during your visits, Please pass by to collect a full refund.
      We do realise that we had been under-staffed on your visits due to unavoidable circumstances of staff turnover and our senior staff being on maternity leave, as we dont usually operate like that and also cant predict our busy times as being in the city. Hope to see you soon.

    I am a regular at Makasi and this salon is the only place for my hair. My hair cannot go a week without it's weekly dose of Makasi:) I have annoyingly curly hair but I always leave Makasi with hair as soft as silk,gorgeously blow dried and perfectly straight. I don't know if it's the hair products that they use or if its just because they are so talented and well trained, all I can say is that they always give me that perfect cleopatra look that I love:) and, they are also able to turn my unbelievably curly hair into smooth and gorgeous ghd waves. And their threading? Addictive is the word for it!!it makes your face so clean,you feel like you've just had a facial.and their price for the threading is so reasonable compared to other ridiculously expensive places that don't even do it as good as Makasi. And, I love the way they do my hair colour.they always give a thorough and good consultation before doing it and I always end up with a gorgeous shade that blends in so well with my complexion. Did I talk about their facials?the other day I had one done and my face has never felt so relaxed,refreshed and revitalised.it's a whole new feeling.
    My boyfriend reckons I'm more into Makasi than I am into him but he always loves my hair even more after Iv been there.lol
    I highly recommend this salon for anyone who wants to have a Great Hair Day!!
