This used to be my absolute favourite charcoal chicken in Sydney. Unlike a lot of bland efforts, the chicken here was always tasty and beautifully seasoned. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill in the last few years. I stopped going there because the chickens were regularly undercooked. Even when I specifically asked for a well-cooked bird, I still got it home to find it bloody inside. Worse still, the shop is always smoke-filled. Not just a tad smoky, as you'd expect, but smokier than a room full of chain-smoking poker players. Whether they're just too cheap to install a proper exhaust fan, or properly repair it, I don't know. But it was never like that under previous owners. Lift your game.
