There are just not enough words to explain exactly how great the staff are at the hospital and all the very hard work they put in looking after our precious children. My son was born 3 months early and spent 6 weeks at the Mater and all I can say is if it wasn't for the dedicated staff and their fantastic support and love my son might have not come home when he did. A huge thank you, you so deserve to be praised.

We just got home from there. We are frequent flyers. The staff know us now. The nurses are brilliant and a good down to earth laugh. There is always a pot of coffee ready for the parents. Nothing is too much trouble for the nurses. And they keep the doctors in line pretty well too. If my children need anything, Mater Childrens is my first pick for attention and care above any expectations. Brisbane is lucky to have this resource.

For a public childrens hospital, this is not too bad. You will obviously expect long waiting times and that parking is absolutely shocking. Either you try to park on the street where you have meters or you pay through the nose for paid parking. The building is quite easy to get around and staff are mostly very friendly and helpful.
