This place is always SO packed and it's annoying because it's just such a frantic environment. It's not an organised chaos either. It's busy and messy and there always seems to be spills on tables or empty crockery. I usually don't go here but on the odd occasion when I catch up with friends I will since there isn't many options as far as cafe's go (mostly restaurants). Their hot chocolates are super milky and mine came out kinda cold. When I finished it I realised that the reason it was so milky was because the chocolate was at the bottom and hadn't been stirred in. It hadn't melted properly because the milk was only warm. Any time I have ordered a dessert it's come out either way before or way after my friends did. It's just a really average place with higher than averages prices.

Whilst there is usually a fairly extensive wait to get the items delivered to your table, the staff are always friendly and everything that makes it past your lips is utterly divine. If you aren't in a hurry and want to indulge, this is the place to go

Max Brenner is really raking it in, and the lack of similar coffee and dessert shops in Castle Towers is really contributing to their success. It is incredible how long people (us included) were willing to wait for a chocolate dessert and drink. The line went out the door and all the tables were full, but staff seemed to be working at their own leisurely pace. In their defence, they looked severely understaffed. The staff at the counter would take an order, go off and do something else, take another order a few minutes later, and so on.

    tasty food, yam yam!
The stuff needs to complete their training at McDonalds first :(
Sorry, I don't mean all of them, but some just need to be a bit nicer.

Consistent with the rest of the Max Brenner franchises, the quality of the food here never fails to deliver a delightful chocolate coma. However be warned: trying to find a spot to seat for dining in can be extremely difficult every night of the week. Waits can be up to 30 minutes for take away food and ever longer for table service if you were lucky enough to get a seat (inside or out). The tutti frutti waffles are definitely a crowd-pleaser amongst customers as well as the insanely good value $2.50 chocolate lick (shot).
