The food is good, but shocking service. I would be embarrassed to take anyone there with the rude staff they currently have.

terrible ! So noisy and over priced. then the food came and it was a watery mess with an old chicken bone and half a plant of coriander piled on top. It was so bad that we decided to complain. It was one of those kind of restaurants where you may as well just walk away as i could tell before we even complained that they would try to argue with us. So when we told them it was flavourless and watery they told us its meant to be like that ! They didn't apologise and we could see the wait staff talking with the management about it but they didn't bother to come and say sorry. A simple sorry and taking some responsibility would have been enough rather than make excuses! i would never return and would never recommend this to anyone

We took friends from out of town and had an excellent night, with excellent food and excellent service. I think it was the three course banquet, then deserts ordered separately, which were also excellent.
Hard to fault anything there, wasn't aware they didn't take booking because we were just walk ups anyway.

Went on a saturday night for a birthday party. Firstly had to wait for ages because they don't take bookings. When the restaurant staff realised we had too many seats they took away a table leaving us squished into a table that was too small. We ordered the banquet and did not get enough food for the amount of people there was. Also, we were there for two and a half hours and only got served one round of drinks. We had to ask for another round and by the time they came we were finished eating and didn't want them anymore. The atmosphere was terrible with people crowded in everywhere, no one enjoyed themselves and they were extremely rude when we tried to complain.

Great food, great atmosphere, friendly service and reasonably priced - Biggest downfall is you can't book/reserve tables.!!

    Wow
I eat at Mecca Bah regularly for lunch & dinner, with work colleagues, my partner, extended family & friends and for special occasions and I keep going back for more as it is a consistently good dining experience.
Arguably one of the busiest restaurants in Brisbane (justifiably) with a relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, friendly & efficient service and exceptional value for money.
Go early to avoid the line-up as they don't take bookings and are normally full for dinner any given night of the week. Not too much of a rush for lunch.

Really great place - the side of olives are AMAZING, and the entrees and mains only get better. I really liked the ambiance and...

Alfresco dining with a complete Middle Eastern feel. Awesome.

The best thing about this restaurant is the setting itself as the food and service are not as up to standard. Food is relatively good though nothing to rave about, though since mains average under $20 for an exotic type restaurant you can't complain. Service is pretty inconsistent with some waitstaff that have a bit of an attitude. Overall, with restaurants where people go 'to be seen' I'd expect that the food or service is somewhat compromised. No exception here.

It is an extreme shame that you can't book to go to the Mecca Bah...I would be more convinced about dining there otherwise. My wining and dining experiences have been positive, and I love how meals can be shared between friends. The lamb pizza is wonderful. It is a good ambiance at Mecca Bah, but be prepared to wait in a line unless you arrive early. Lovely, moderately priced dining.

Inspired by Morocco and the Middle East, Mecca Bah combines earthy colours and fabrics, with crockery from Tunisia, and you’re encouraged to explore the idea of shared communal dining typical to that region of the world. Take your place among the relaxed outdoor seating and experience an array of flavours. Mezze dishes include minced lamb and pine nut boureks, while the pick of the pizzas is the spit roast lamb, rocket, yoghurt and sumac. The tagines, too, are great. The wine list is long and impressive.

Housed in the ultra-modern Emporium complex Mecca Bah serves up delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. Dine inside surrounded by modern, earthy décor or outside in the stainless steel surrounds. Choose from mezze plates, Moroccan tagines, lamb or seafood from the grill or one of their outstanding Turkish pizzas — minimal toppings with maximum flavour. Boasting a huge wine list you’ll find the perfect drop to accompany your meal. Premier Anna Bligh told us this is one of her favourite restaurants.
