Shower basin "megasealed" in Oct 2011. Installer was questionable as their "professional" ability and reported my concerns.
Crack tile suddenly appeared Jan 2013. Reported and asked for warranty (15 years) repair.
Reluctant agreement by Mega. Another tile cracked March. Reported again. Mega will now not cover this repeated fault repair. Contacted management. They apologise, and say that earlier repair was done as courtesy. Advises that warranty does not cover if there is possible or suspect ground movement causing any damage to the installed work. Beware new customer - read the small print, and ask what the warranty does not cover before you part with your money !

  Thanks for your feedback. While we understand your frustration, we ask that our customers read and accept the terms and conditions on the back of the quote before we proceed with the work. The Megasealed service and product itself does not cause tiles to crack. This can only be caused by building movement of which we have no control over, and hence cannot provide a warranty for. Our product faults if it comes away from the tiles. We do not want unsatisfied customers, which is why we replaced the first cracked tile for you, as a good will gesture. Please contact us if you would like us to fix the 2nd cracked tile. We would do this for a nominal charge for you, as is not related to the service we provided to you.   After having submitted my earlier comments I have now been contacted by Mega and I thank Cate Dunwoody for her response and advice. I do now understand their position and a resolution is now being directed through her professional manner. During the period both Simon and Stephanie from the SA office and their excellent tiler Adrian Scott have been extremely helpful.

I had been very worried about water leaking behind my shower walls and floor. After Megasealed fixed my shower it is now a pleasure to have a shower knowing the water is staying put.

I had Megasealed in to fix a leaky bathroom - replace some cracked tiles in shower, and reseal shower and bath.

They were extremely prompt coming out to do a quote and were professional and able to test that water was under the floor. They were honest about waiting times for a booking and the price of the work.

2 weeks later had the megasealed tech to do the work - extremely courteous and on-time. Even called the day before and asked for a picture to make sure they could get replacement tile colour from their generic stock that best matched my bathroom.

Their actual megasealed product works as advertised. Stopped all the leaks from my shower and after a few weeks of use no problems at all. Does a much better job than the cheap flexible type sealant.

Price is a a bit higher that some other places - but I can't fault their repair work. Warranty is also very good - 25 years for the megasealed product, and 5 years for their edge seal.

I had been re-sealing my shower for years with silicon at a minor expense (but it was starting to become an expensive exercise) - a friend suggested Megasealed as she had hers done 6 years ago & its still going strong. Ph'ed them up & the quote and the works were done with in a week!! I couldn't be happier - they were professional, courteous & ON TIME. Yes it was a little bit more expensive than the silicone service's I had been getting done but in the long run it will last a lot longer and end up costing me less.

Had my bathroom done 10 years ago, had a 12 year warranty, so got the shower re-sealed last year (but still had to pay $750 even though it was still under warranty), and ever since it has been a nightmare. The new seal lasted less than a month. I rang megasealed to fix it, but instead they ended up cracking the existing tiles, which now looks terrible. I have been over charged and now out of pocket. My family and I haven't been able to use the shower for 4 months now and there is also salt damp which needs fixing now too.
I have been through consumer affairs and court papers, but becasue there is no office in SA, I am unable to take them to court.
Do not use meagsealed, they have caused nothing but more work. Very unprofessional and careless!
