This store has always been good as far as fresh seafood is concerned. However, had 2 bad experiences with them this holiday season.

    1. Bought seafood for to serve at for dinner at Christmas eve.Went to the shop at 8:00 am just before I went to work. Got myself some large aussie prawns, mussels and 2 dozens of rock oysters. Dropped it home and went to work. My wife called me up to say that the oysters were missing. Called the shop and guess what! They admitted they forgot about it and I ended up going back to the shop and leaving work early as they will be closed by the time I get there if I left work on time. Mind you when I bought the goods there were only 1 other customer that they were serving. They usually wrap everything in one bunch using old newspaper so there is really no way for you to check until you get home. They apologize and said "you forgot it". Since I have been a loyal customer for 5 years I said it was fine as "these things happen".

    2. As it is not mud crab season and it usually cost very dear I seldom buy it unless there is a special occasion. As it is my only son's bday I decided to chance and buy mudcrab from the store. They informed that there is none but they have 2 frozen ones and guaranteed that it is as good as the live one and is selling it for $20 a kilo. Live mud crabs usually cost $60 in cabramatta (from the last time i checked) and me trusting this reasoning I agreed and bought it in good faith. I informed them that I've been burnt once buying frozen mudcrab as when we cooked it, there is almost no meat left and it only appeared stuffed because it was frozen. They assured me the quality of the crab I'm buying is ok and since I am a good customer they are selling it to me cheap. After getting home and opening the package, I found out that the other crab does not have the two big pinchers. (strike 1). after cooking the crab, there's almost no meat left (strike 2). Called them back and spoke to the person that sold me the crab. As I am a very calm person, I tried to explain to them that I was a bit dissapointed about the crab and they just started to raise his voice, cutting me when I was talking, insinuating that I don't know how to cook crab (born from parents who own a fishing business, I know how to cook crab), and even ridiculing me and insinuating why I bought the crab in the first place and what do I expect from buying a $20 a kilo crab (strike 3). The customer service just given to me in that span of less than 2 minutes gave me no choice but to tell them that they just lost a very loyal customer. Any sane person who values their customer would have tried to "save the sale" but they just kept on raising their voice and saying that it is fine as I am just one person and there are other customers there. As I was about to retort about the value of one customer they just dropped the phone on me.

I guess I won't be buying anymore from them, that goes as well for any family members that I have living in Campbelltown. This experience will be a good topic when I attend my daughter's PTA group. The produce is admittedly very good, but the customer service sucks big time.
