Reviews of Mr Automotive

  • My Sons,

I thanks MR Auto as they gave me a chance to tell you a story on how you should NOT be when you start working.

Your school bag says DEEDS not WORDS well they took it literally the opposite way:
    1) APPROPRIATE. When you call them you get a chance each time to fully enjoy several rounds of their voicemail as they never pick up within less than 5 minutes. Voicemail says "you ask yourself what MR can do for you, the most appropriate question is what they cannot do". Not sure appropriate was the most appropriate word to use.
    2) GOODWILL: Ho your windscreen was broken and your insurrance has a $650 fee to replace. s a goodwill we will do it for $200.... when you enquire more, a mate of them you have to call does it around this price. When you call RACQ, a great organisation, they do it for $240. Where i got it done
    3) LOTS OF: They were lots of people involved in the broken window. Lot? Towing company and MR Auto, this is two parties. not a lot to me.
    4) CULTURE: The now famous voicemail vomits a flow of how good the culture is in with MR... well if patient enough to wait you will talk to Stevy or owner Luky and you will feel immediately the heavy densed atmosphere, a feeling you experience when you walk in their store. a place where everyone feels immediately not confortable...

Net, I took my car to repair, it got fixed. yet got windscreen broken....and replaced at my expense.
Also they test drove it, not to notice that my two back tires pressure was 5/35 and 15/35... and that one of the blinker was broken (a $2 job which I would have been pleased to pay). also left all the plastic parts of the engine were left inside the trunk.

Last, the key hole was covered with oil, same with the door handle which leather was irreversibly damaged.

Sons, MR Automotive wont exist when you grow up. Stevy/Luky were invented names. Story is saddly true, pictures are available.
  • I took my Discovery to M R Automotive for a service and some minor upgrade work. Had to take the vehicle back on another 2 occasions to have rectified. Not fixed properly resulting in a MAJOR failure directly due to their poor workmanship, which costs $1,000s to have fixed by another mechanic. Don't believe what you read on certain Land Rover forums which appear to give great feedback as they have a policy of no negative feedback!! M R are terrible. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else unless you like to waste $1,000s of dollars. -_-
  • I used M R Automotive on approx 6 occasions and unfortunately the vehicle came back worse than when it went in. The worst experience I have had with a mechanical workshop in 30 years. They appear to book in to many cars for the day which leads to poor workmanship and are terrible communicators!
  • If you own a Land Rover or any British made car the boys at MR Automotive are by far the best for any work done to your Landy. Their service is the best and the information, and willingness to help on any topic is great. My Disco has had some work done to it through MR and they are clearly the best.
