I pop up there just to quote a damaged equipment by a lightning bolt for insurance claim purposes. Made the mistake not to shop around not ask them for the price before engaging. Quote cost me $200 , afterwards I discovered the price fluctuates between $85 to $100. When I challenged them, mentioning the competitors name they put it down , quote "that is a small shop, that people do not know what they are doing" very un-professional to my eyes.
Quote took much longer than what they promised, when the piece of paper was produced, errors in pricing and models were wrong, I had to tell them this or that is wrong. Not sure if they misplaced the information or simply did not listen to the customer.
When all was clear, I had to call 3 times (in 3 different days) to have them produce and e-mail me the final report.
The cosmetics of the report? just a piece of word text, no signature, no logo, no nothing...very, very unprofessional.
I finish here, I can not imagine the nightmare of having this people actually fixing the equipment or having to come back (after payment) to follow up fine tuning.
Certainly not happy. This incident happened in between Feb and March 2013.

" I pop up there just to quote a damaged equipment by a lightning bolt " - The customer brought in a notebook, complex high computer system and a adsl modem for assessment. He was told when he dropped off the equipment that the notebook would need a complete pulldown to test also the same for the desktop computer system and was told $200 when dropped off to us. After a couple of days he advised us he could get the job done for $85 - $100 at another store and after a discussion he decided to go ahead with us.
Chasing parts pricing from manufactures for parts can take at no stage did we claim to have the job finished in a certain time. The final report was delayed because the customer had two items to add to the quotation namely a ADSL line filter and Display which he did not produce at the start -

I sought a quote from the company alejoperdomo68 said would do the job for $85 and this is the response I received " An assessment of damage report with replacement quote to the insurance company with what you have indicated will cost between $180 and $220. " Plus I might add this is at nil cost to the consumer as the Insurance company fully remiburses the fee. Nepean Micro
