Starting with the good - the coffee was great and the atmosphere pumping. On the other hand I begrudge ordering a 12 dollar fruit salad advertised as including seasonal fruits that turns up with about 50 % granny smith apples! On 1 January, seasonal fruits include nectarines, mangos, peaches, etc: No where to be seen. I would check out some of the other great cafes nearby in Crowy.

Great late morning breakfasts and late night jazz in a great location. Very expensive. Good atmosphere for coffee after a meal in the area for an old style cafe feel for a long relaxed evening.

When we first walked in at midday on a Sunday we were told there would be a wait on food because they'd just finished the breakfast menu and they were preparing lunch -despite their menus saying "All Day Breakfast"!!! We were willing to wait as we needed to feed our infant son and so ordered coffees. However, on request of the use of their microwave for a minute to heat our son's lunch the chef refused (no explanation given) and that was the end of our visit to New Orleans Cafe. We cancelled coffee and left. Parents be warned!

Nice enough place. A little over crowed for my liking. The food & wine is reasonable. They have a good jazz Friday night.

the food is good and i often crave their corn bread, but the service is awful. you can wait forever to be served or to get your bill.

often entrees and mains all come out at once so make sure you tell them you want them separately.

also check your bill. it doesn't seem to be as bad now that one of the waiters is gone, but often we would "occidentally" be charged for bread or drinks that we didn't order

Food is good and wine is great. I find that sometimes, it can get very noisy inside. Outside tables for an alfresco dining experience. Food comes pretty quickly so good if you are there for a quick bite.

I find the food and service doesn't live up to the vibrant atmosphere.

Used to love it here but somethings just not right about the place anymore. Service was absolutely appalling! We went twice in the span of 2 weeks different times, the second time was to see if our first was just a bad day. Not so. Creme Brule was just... creme? What happened to having the glazed sugar on top? Sticky date is nowhere near what it used to be. Like I said, went twice to make sure that it wasn't a one off day. Head waiter was the only one who made a great impression. Music is still a plus there but I'll only go back if it's convenient.

A great place to sit out at the tables on the pavement and listen to the smooth live jazz. The cajun chicken is hot and tasty.
