Food excellent, service terrible. Seemed understaffed - so if you want great food and are not in a hurry, give them a try!

Superb food and great service with clean, modern decor, went not expecting much after previous posts but was very pleasantly surprised. The New Turtle Den has encouraged us to give Chinese food a chance again after a few years absence. Very pleased to see that they are also very Gluten free friendly. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely the worst dining experience of my life, totally destroyed our evening. No service what so ever, sad thing us when challenged, they refused to accept criticism, said it was equally our fault for not complaining sooner, do yourself a favor .... Dine elsewhere

Well, what can I say, absolutely the worst service I have ever received in my many many years of dining out, totally unable to serve all meals together, 4 people two meals did not arrive even after 45 minutes past, sad part when we confronted the management, they ware in complete denial and blamed us for not complaining earlier, no respect for customer. p.s don't order apple cider........never ever again

Terrible service and attitude. My experience here on the 12/1/2013 was the honestly the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We went to the New Turtle Den with my parents as a family outing. Firstly my father was served apple juice instead of apple cider and after trying to figure out why they refused to show us the bottle it can from or acknowledge it wasn't apple juice. Then after 30 minutes they ask for our order and tell us they have no San choi boi (as staple in any western Chinese restaurant). We order what is left at 8pm on a Saturday night and have to wait 45 minutes for 2 of our 4 mains to be served. Upon serving we ask where the other 2 are and we are told they are coming. We follow up 2 times and after another 45 minutes we still don't have the other 2 mains so decide enough is enough and approach management to tell them we are leaving. We pay for what we did get served and complain. Management basically told us that the fact that we didn't get the meals was partly out fault because we didn't continue to follow them up about them. No apology for spoiling our night at all. Reflective of the terrible service. Never going back and would suggest no body exposes themselves to such bad service!

Very disappointed in our takeaway, after such great reviews. We were told it would be ready by 8pm. Had to wait a further 25 mins in store. Our number was called at 8:15 only it wasn't our order (it was the customer after us) it was mixed up. When I expressed disappointment at having had to wait so long I was told 'Sorry, very busy'.
The sweet and sour pork had a mix of chicken and pork and a whole lot of batter; the mongolian beef was floury; the satay chicken was great. First and last time we will eat from this restaurant.

Great food and service. They give you little hot towels to clean your hands before meal and prawn chips complimentary. Always enjoyed eating in. Will become regular for take away too.

We have been here numerous times now and the food is always great. Take away is nice and quick but the service can be slow when dining in. We have tried a few dishes and have never been disappointed. Great local restaurant..
