Located on the corner of Rae Street and Reid Street, just a short walk from a tram stop, this establishment seamlessly blends the vibe of a traditional cosy pub with a classier and more dining-based atmosphere. The interior is warm and pleasant, and the beer garden is spacious and charming, with fairy lights among the vines on the wall. Drinks are reasonably priced and the menu is impressive. I commend the North Fitzroy Arms as a venue that supports poetry, since Black Pepper have held several poetry book launches here recently. Unfortunately the sound system seemed to cause some difficulties at one of these, and they did not allow any electric guitar at the other. All in all I would definitely return if I'm in the neighbourhood or if something poetry-related is on here, and I recommend the North Fitzroy Arms as a pleasant place to eat and drink.
