After being ill all weekend, I phoned to see if I could see a doctor on Monday morning.
I advised that I have moved to the area and need to see a doctor.
"No, we are not taking any new patients", I was told.
"Oh, I thought with the negative responses on this review, you might have reassessed your position on this", was me response.
To which the staff, who obviously has no customer service skills replied
"No" and promptly hang up. !!
So that was my first experience with Oatlands Medical.

By far this is the best practice in Sydney. I have tried many doctors and none compare. The most helpful, kind, and caring doctors are here, they know what you need and are good at what they do.

I am also new to the area and atempted to make an appointment, to be told they're not 'taking on any new patients', also. It's not a specialist surgery, and I was under the impression that Medicare was something we paid a tax on to ensure good health care? Not to be refused entry purely because we're unknown to the clinic.

I'm sorry to hear that, maybe it's because they are so popular that it's not possible to have more patients? Just a guess.

I was quiet disappointed when i called up asking to book an appointment, when asked if i had been there before and explained i hadnt the lady said they are not taking any new people. With this i would not recomment anyone trying to book an appointment! good way to start just after moving to the area!!!
