Orpheus Indulgence

Our week on Orpheus Island was delightful. First off, the food was sensational - we've holidayed the previous 3 years at Lizard Island and the food there wasn't anywhere near the superb standard at Orpheus. We're not obsessive about food, but the meals were sensational.

Aaron & Bridget and their team provide very friendly, personalised service. It's the abundance of little touches like having your room made up while you're at breakfast, rather than have interruptions at the times it suits the resort.

The resort buildings are a little older than some other islands, but are well presented inside.

Bridget and Aaron operate the resort with an emphasis on your comfort - unlike others, you won't be woken by the sound of mowers and leaf blowers.

The daily snorkelling trips around local reefs are included in the price and these were to the best sites we've visited in Australia - an abundance and variety of fish, coral etc.

We will be visiting again in future.
