Went to outback jacks on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner. Reserved a table for
7:30pm - arrived at 7:15pm and ordered meals by 7:30.. And did not recieve them until 9:20pm. Other customers were walking in & receiving there meals & leaving and we were still waiting. Food was nothing great. Our waiter gave us a round of free soft drinks but after waiting for over an hour and a half for a burger a meal should have been free - no apology from management and they weren't even a full house that night. Will never go back again.

Absolutely terrible. Went there at lunch time and was skeptical at first by the lack of people in there, but thought i'd check it out anyway. Ordered a steak and a meal with chicken in it, the steak came out undercooked and the chicken was literally raw, not just undercooked, but pink right the way through and was sent back instantly. Instead of saying the meal was free they just discounted the chicken meal and i ended up paying over $60 for a steak and 2 beers (the steak was about 1/4 eaten)... Safe to say i'll never be eating there again

Got to say "NOT HAPPY JAN" We booked a tables for our daughters birthday and it was fine to start with but we had to flag down staff to order drinks and when they did come to our table they would ask one person what they wanted and walk away forgetting that there were 8 other people at the table. We waited for half an hour after our main meal before having to flag down another staff member to order dessert and then she wrote our order on her hand. I thought that waitress had order pads on them but this one didn't, we offered her a coaster but she didn't want it and continued to write on her hand. One of the people at our table complained to the manager and he informed us that our table was like a self serve table. That was not what I had booked what I rang up. And since when do you have self serves tables at sit down restaurants? Anyway after complaining our service did improve fractionally.

So we will never be going to Outback Jack in Redcliffe ever again. We used to go to Aspley and loved it there but sorry Redcliffe your service was the worst in the world so the nice night out (which doesn't happen very often at all) was not worth all the money we payed.

My advice to everyone is to stay away.

We have been to outback jacks twice now and both times the staff have been fantastic!! We usually book at short notice (less then a day in advance) and they always manage to fit us in. The food is lovely - a decent steak at a reasonable price. Will definitely go again!

We took the family down here for a birthday dinner and we were not disappointed - staff were friendly and our steaks were great. I had heard mixed reviews about Outback Jacks but we are always looking for great steak restaurants in Redcliffe and we think we have found our favourite. It is a great restaurant for large groups of people and we will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely worst dining experience in my life, overpriced everything, employed staff-lovely, management-rude, obnoxious and arrogant. Believe me, I eat out alot with my wife and four kids, so take a tip from me, take them to Sizzlers up the road,at least you'll all enjoy it.

Booked a day in advance, had our table giving away. Were seated in a dark corner next to the footpath where luckily the street lights made the menus visible. Then ordered drinks and then 10 minutes later our entree and n mains. 20 minutes passed before the wrong drinks arrived. After another 20 minutes before we caught the attention of an attendant n it only took another 10 minutes to to move the drink 20 meters to our table. After eating our entree we ended up leaving an hour and 20 minutes after ordering. I give them half a star because my 50 minute drink was free and all the food that customers before and after us looked alright.... Highly unrecommended especially for those with heart conditions or the need to eat at restaurants. Just heating up left overs for valentines day.

    Poor Food and Overpriced.

My Wife and I went here last night. Bill # 3026739

The prices are equal to that of a much more upmarket restaurant whereas the restaurant itself was much more equal to pub food in a bad pub...

We started with the Firecracker Wings which were actually quite nice and set our hopes high that the quality would continue

We only had one drink each as that was all we were offered.

The Ribs advertised on the menu as "slow cooked for 8 hours for that fallin off the bone sensation" were in fact difficult to remove from the bone and i needed to saw at them with my steak knife. The meat was dry and bone dry crusty at the ends there was also some bubbles of fat around the bone ends which of course means that they were re-heated in a Microwave.

The "silverskin" membrane from under the ribs was not completely removed, about 20% of it was still there and is not pleasant to eat. The meat was also tough which should be basically impossible regardless how poor a cut of meat after an alleged 8 hours of cooking. Spectacularly Disappointing Ribs...
The ribs came with mashed potato, dehydrated mashed potatoes like Deb... The dish costs $42.95 and cant even come with fresh potato? Also, for $40 you can get a full rack of Beef Ribs from "The Fox" in South Brisbane which have more meat, sauce, sides and they also actually taste good.

Onion Rings were $5.50 were frozen not fresh and tasted the same as those you can get at Hungry Jacks

My Wife had the Wagu Rump "Prime Diamond Cut" ordered Med Rare and what she received was definitely a peice of Rump but was not Wagyu there was no marbling and there were no caramel flavours. It was also cooked Medium. I am almost completely certain that this was a basic Rump. Furthermore this Wagyu pretender cost $37.95 and the Garlic Sauce (which didnt even taste like garlic!) was and EXTRA $2.95.

The Breakfast Creek does a 300day Grain Finished Wagyu Rump, $34.95 and includes Sauce... The Norman Hotel does a Free Range Grass Fed Wagyu Rump, $35.00 and Includes Sauce. You charged me $40.90 for a Standard Rump with Sauce

To top it off when I went to pay and talk to who I believed to be the management, I stood in front of them for 10-15 seconds until management said "yep, what do you want" to a server standing next to here and then started walking off to the kitchen and said "back in a minute darl" when realising that I wanted to pay they pointed me at the bar where I paid and left. I was not asked how my meal was and I didn't care to hang around and tell them as they had failed on so many opportunities to ask and I had just paid $114.80 for some bad pub grub and two drinks.

Sadly I will not be back and do not recommend.

I have been there several times now however I don't know if I will be returning after my last experience... The food was fine as usualy, although a little slow coming out but it was a Friday night so it is expected. When it came time to pay for the bill I paid for my order and upon coming home I checked my netbank to find out I had been charged double. I called them up and told them and then about a week later they finally decided to give me a refund so I went down there and all they literally gave me was the amountover charged back there was no big appology for the big stuff around, they didn't even offer a gift voucher or full refund. I think it is fair enough that you make a mistake as we are all human but it is then your job to ensure your customer is satisfied and to keep them coming back. Other than this dilema the experience was good.
