Due to close proximity to the CBD area, the place is regularly busy even during weekdays especially lunch breaks. The area does not seem as big as the ones I frequent at Chinatown, so make sure to arrive quite early to get a table.

The dim sim offerings are quite extensive which was quite satisfying. The price range was also shown on the stamp card so for once I know how much I am spending for my dim sim as I eat them.

The staffs seem to be very friendly as I witnessed one engaging in conversation with some elderlies who seemed to be having trouble deciding what to order.

One thing that was of a disappointment during my visit was the inability to use my Stockland gift card for my purchase although it was clearly in the list of participating retailers. After discussing with the customer service, it turned out to be a technical error, but the staff who served me was not aware that the restaurant accepts gift cards so they just said that mine was not valid.

Great Yum Cha and a good alternative if you're looking to mix it up from dining at Sky Phoenix. The food is fresh and comes quickly. However, it can be a 30 or so minute wait to get a table if you have a few people with you and it's right on lunch time. It gets very busy midweek
  • Great place for yum cha. Conveniently located in the inner city (entrance from Pitt St or Castlereagh St). Friendly service. Prices are reasonable but not the cheapest.
  • Excellent fresh, tasty food! Fabulous fast service - The wasabi beef is a must!!
  • When i have some friends over we often order large amount of Chicken in Hot pot for the whole night. They come fast and the food is always hot and fresh.
  • I like chinese but I love Palace Chinese Restaurant! Great food and great staff!

A beautiful and delicious way to spend lunch or dinner, thrilled with my meal and thrilled with the service i received. I will be back, and i highly recommend.
  • Went for lunch on a weekday: food was fast and tasted good. Also good value if you leave before 12.30pm due to special price.

I highly rate yum cha at Palace. They offer a great selection of savoury dishes and desserts.

Ask for their special crab/scallop siew mai. They offer regular ones too but this is worth a try.

For dessert, try the mango soup with sago.

Service is a bit hit-and-miss so it really depends on who you get. Come for an early lunch or you could be waiting awhile for a table.

While the food on offer at this restaurant is quite good, the selection is lacking and there are other restaurants in the area where you will receive a larger meal and have more options to choose from. The service here is quite poor, expect a long wait for the carts to come past your table.

Walk that little bit further down to Chinatown if you want real Chineese. This place is not very authentic and may I suggest that it not even good food, let alone good Chineese.

Seriously sauces are packeted crap which even tatses like its been thawed out after they used it last week. The prices are well above what I expected and though the decore may be nice, the staff are run off their feet and match the food ~ shocking.

I had my wedding reception here! The food was excellent. However, what sets this restaurant apart from other Chinese restaurants is the high quality level of customer service. The atmosphere is nice.

Prices are slightly higher than other large Chinese Restaurants, but it's worth it!

It's not the best Chinese dining experience Sydney has to offer, but good for a work-type function.

Very nice and quality food for a small price. Also very good service. The only downfall is it gets very noisy in here at times I found so group conversations can be challenging.
