    What a God send was Parramatta City Motel recently, when requiring one night's accommodation, without reservation, at a late hour. Where the other competitors along the Great Western Highway were filled to capacity, The Parramatta City Motel is a large enough Motel to cater for last-minute, exhausted travelers. Accommodation that is friendly on your budget, whilst being reasonably well-appointed, and enough so for the average business traveler to be comfortable. Parking is not undercover, but there is plenty of it on the private grounds. Dense vegetation forms a privacy barrier between the busy Great Western Highway, and the carpark and Motel - and security cameras are well placed outside the multi-level building. The Motel sits on the high end of Parramatta, right as the road descends into the CBD. The largest Westfield Shopping in NSW, 'Parramatta Westfield' is located immediately outside the Motel. Due to the Hotel being positioned on the cliff, each room overlooks the CBD and avails the motel guest a fantastic view of the city in the valley, including Parramatta Park. My air-conditioned room contained all the usual appointments, including a noted modem point - although I was far too exhausted to utilise any of these facilities. You would think there would be plenty of noise from the busy Highway and city location, but an elevated position and well-planned insulation made the night a very comfortable one indeed.
