What kind of Greek restaurant doesn't have moussaka on the menu??I know this Greek restaurant aims at being 'modern', with its one hat and all, but you'd think they'd at least serve moussaka just the same.Bit like that cliche, a pub with no beer.
I ordered what was probably the closest thing to moussaka,a braised lamb and lentil pastitsio on the specials menu. What a mistake.Basically this was a $30 scoop of macaroni drizzled with bechamel, scarce hints of lamb and non-existent lentils. The side salad of tomato and fennel was much more interesting and tastier than this spoonful of pasta. It was such a shame as the evening started off really well.I cannot fault the pork belly baclava entree - meaty, rich, complex and a real adventure for the palate. Definetly worth odering.
My partner’s entree of four mixed filo triangles was also very good, apart from one of the four serves being an empty parcel. Lucky for him he ordered the lamb sakras for mains, which was melt in the mouth delicious!
