JUST JOINED. KNOW PETVAX VERY WELL .GREAT FRIEND OF THE VET AND A CUSTOMER AS WELL. RATISH IS A GREAT VET WHO RUNS A BUISNESS AT THE LOWEST POSSIBLE PROFIT SO ANIMALS ARE LOOKED AFTER. PEOPLE STILL COMPLAIN AS THEY CANT AFFORD IT.OF 10000 CUSTOMERS HE HAS A HANDFUL OF FALSE COMPLAINS...NOT BAD ! HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU GUYS MADE UPSET IN YOUR LIFE !NOT EVERYONE WILL EVER BE HAPPY. RATISH IS A GREAT GUY WITH CHARITABLE HEART. MANY MANY HUNDREDS OF ANIMALS HAVE BENEFITED FROM HIS GIVING AND HIS LOW PRICES. A MERE FEW MISUNDERSTANDINGS WILL NOT DETER HIM . HE WILL CONT TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY. I SUGGET YOU ALL BRUSH UP YO NEW LAWS AS ITS APPEARS THAT RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP IS LACKING.GOOD ON PETVAX FOR ENFORCING THEM. ALSO REMEMBER DONT ALWAYS BE MISDIRECTED AND INFLAMMED BY OTHER CLINICS AS PETVAX IS NOTIN GOOD BOOKS WITH MOST CLINICS FOR CHARGING LESS. BUT ABOUT =TIME ,WE SHOULD SUPPORT HIM SO MANY MORE ANIMALS CAN BE SAVED.IT APPEARS MOST PROBLEMS ARE PRICES RATHER THAN HIS VET ABILITY .
10,000 customers huh! Well this "star" of a vet must be the most popular vet in all of QLD as he must have more clients than every vet in QLD put together! How dare you accuse my complaint as being false!! Due to the lack of care received from this vet, my dog almost lost his life. I had to rush him to another vet who actually accepts Carecredit so I could get him tended to, do they have this facility available for animals he cares so much about? No he doesn't and why? He would get his "affordable fees" paid straight away but when I told him this he still refused knowing full well my dog was knocking on deaths door. If people couldn't afford it they wouldn't even step through a vets door...period!
Its your duty to ensure the vet you go to do creditcare. Its your job to ensure that you can pay your bill not petvax job. Petvax does great cvet job . pet vax continues to serve the community ..lots of great job done and many more will be done. If you think you have a legitimate a case go to high court.
We have been going to Petvax for many years and all in all other than some not so friendly staff they have done the job we asked for but we have not gone back since we took our kitten in to be desexed, After we rang and made the appointment where nothing was said about the little kitten being caged, we got to the vet on our way to work, to be told we could not leave the kitten there un-caged, we were then told (not asked) to purchase a container from them.. after refusing to do so we were told our kitten would not be operated on and to take her away.. Even though it was an inconvenience to take her back home in peak hour traffic we did so rather then be forced into purchasing something we had no further use for.
well this is true..you are required by law to have cats in cages and dogs on leads in public areas.this is a legislative requirement and also the vet has a legal liability issues to enforce this.. well done.
To your above comment that it is the law, we had our kitten in our arms so she wasn't loose, also we took her to Anvet the next day in a pet cage and they told us they didn't want her in the cage ? so if it is law then ???
Our dog had a severe case of pancreatitis and as we didn't have the cash on us at the time we asked what our options were and was basically told that we either pay up or they won't do anything. We left and went to Cityvet Chatswood who not only gave us payment options but also fantastic service both to us and our dog. They charged a bit more but they deserved every cent.
I took my 6 week old puppy to see them to get his first vaccinations. I had made the appointment days prior, they said they would not see my puppy as he was not restrained!
I did not have a collar or lead with me at the time as he was not to walk on the ground out side of home anyway due to parvo etc therefore the reason for our visit that day. They then said well "You can buy one of our collars", I refused. I argued that I had not been aware of this before my appointment & that he was only 6 weeks old. They then went to the front door, ripped off the sign that states conditions of entry etc & handed it to me & said "I'm sure you can read".
Their professional manner is unacceptable! Their clinic may be the cheapest but it is far from the best!
Last week I told my dog to petvax for some injections and an annual check up. The vet said my older dog needed to have a tooth removed but it wasnt anything to much to worry about. Because we were going away on holidays soon we booked him to get the tooth out the following wednesday.
We took him up there in the morning and go a phone call from the vet at around 3pm saying they had taken NINETEETN teeth from my dog and the bill was now $1100 not the $195 we thought it was going to be. My mother did not have the money to give so the vet said we could not get the dog until the bill was paid. We have the signed piece of paper saying one tooth would be removed and the cost would be $195 but tried telling us our dog is neglected.
My mum rang the police and went to get the dog but the vet refused to give him to her. My mum rang the police in front of the vet and was told to wait they were on their way.
The vet then locked my mother inside the shop and said they did not want the money and was going to put the dog down. My mum paid the $1100 and told the vet nurse to get her dog now.
If they can treat people like this HOW DO THEY TREAT OUR BELOVED PETS???
DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THEM.
Thank god my dog is fine. The feelings my family was put trhough that afternoon I dont want anyone to ever ver ever have to go through.
This vet should be shut down IMMEDIATELY
Terrible service, very rude and quoted price means nothing. I was quoted $200, actual price was over $1000. My wife called them but was very rude. Do not use them, unprofessional and unethical!
yes you asked for your dogs x rays ..! its correct under qld health laws you do not owe the x rays only the report. petvax is under no obligation to give you the x rays only the report.
Had great, friendly service from these guys when we took our cat in to be desexed. They are helpful and more than willing to have a chat about any concerns.
PetVax is a very bad and irresponsible vet. I took my cat and visited them last week. The doctor quoted $300-$400 for treatments and said my cat will be ok. But i finally paid $700 and they couldn't cure my cat. i wasn't contacted for advice for major treatments which they just did on my cat and my cat was dying. luckily i transferred my cat to another Vet who saved his life. Don't ever spend any cents on Pet Vax and they know nothing and have no ethics.
Had Chloe desexed at Petvax Underwood. Wonderful staff, especially the vet nurse Leanne, who did a great job looking after Chloe keeping her relaxed, happy and she answered all our questions throughly, explaining everything we needed to know in a way that we could understand. Would happily take my dog back to Petvax and recommend this place to others who have a tight budget.
