I am disappointed to read about the bad reviews for Petvax as I have only experienced very good service over the past few years with my dog and am very appreciative for their care and attention. I don't understand what all the fuss is about as they have been very professional and helpful. Lets hear a few more good stories please!

By chance, we drove pass Petvax at Underwood Market Place to find it empty. I rang them and their staff said they had moved to Woodridge. We called again a few days later to ask for our dogs notes as we wanted to move to a vets closer to home. The staff couldn't help at that time and would call us back. Did they? No!
A few days later we called again.. When mentioning about not being notified about them moving they used the " we have 10 thousand clients and don't have time to inform everyone but we had a notice up for three months". Like most people we normally only go to the vets once a year for our dogs annual booster, so how a notice only being up for three months was going to help us I don't know! We have never had any correspondence for them in the past but an email wouldn't have cost them anything, it's just common courtesy.
Sometimes we just have to vote with your feet, they have never been very helpful and definitely not welcoming..........just walk away!
The amazing thing is the cost of getting our dogs notes was $35 and it was a three page print out. Wow, that must have been a real effort to be worth $35, oh yer sorry and the stamp in a re-used envelope.

The first incident was when I took my dog there to get his skin checked as my dog scratched his skin a lot at times. The vet said his skin was dry and just needed moisturiser. BUT (what a surprise) my dog continued to scratch his skin.
I then took my dog to TWO other places (& one being an animal skin specialist) and both said my dog had skin allergies.

Furthermore, I later took my dog in for a grooming session.Additionally a few of his nails were chopped beyond the pink part of the nail. I have never take my pet back.

They can't get something somewhat on the simpler side like a grooming session correct..

We took our jack Russell in because he had a broken toe. $400 later it got bandaged which fell off. Went back next week and $25 later it got replaced by a different vet on shift which was ok. Today the original vet wants $200 to sedate him and replace a bandage which will probably fall off like last time. They have lost our business and my parents who have been customers for a long time. The vet nurse couldn't care any less when I rang up to complain. There are better vets out there I am sure.

Sadly this does not surprise me what so ever. Nothing more than typical from Pet Vax!

Took my cat to petvax, This vet is negligent and very uncaring when things go wrong. He lack of care for animals is astonishing, I am surprised that he is still in business and that the VSB have not closed him down. If you care about your animals do not use this guy!!!!!

Found out later that the whole exercise was un-necessary due to it being a non load bearing toe.

This Vet is unprofessional rude and negligent. I was abused and offended today when I called Petvax simply asking for my pets records as I needed them for my Pet Insurance claim. Our dog was attached by 2 dogs recently and needed surgery. We used another vet, very professional and great service and attention. To process my claim pet history is required from any previous and current vets. I had taken my cat and dog to Petvax for a vaccination (once only) as the price was a bit cheaper. In hindsight not worth the few dollars savings! Due to reading the many bad reviews since this encounter I decided not to return as I was worried and sceptical after seeing so many bad reviews. Lucky! I am very glad I trusted my instinct and thanks to those that wrote these reviews to warn others. This afternoon I was shocked when they would charge $35 for the records. This was to confirm they had seen my dog over a year ago and vaccinated her once (nothing else just a routine vaccination) that's it and they expected to be paid $35 for this.He would put the charge up now and not do it for the usual $35 administration fee! It was now double! A very nasty piece work and I completely believe the reviews that they quote one price and charge another. I was not rude and can't believe the language that was used. My Pet insurance company was initially surprised by this also as they deal with vets all the time & didn't recall any other problems getting pet history emailed. When I reported the incident to Medibank Pet Insurance, the claims department did mention having some problems with Petvax in the past. I sympathise with other owners that have had such bad experiences with this Vet and fully intend to take this further. They laughed at me when I said that I would report their attitude.I worry about the way the treat our furry friends that can't talk!

Do not use this vet. I paid over $600 to have a lump drained on my dogs leg. It didn't drain at all and when I took the dog back he attempted to blame me. I took it to another vet who said he wouldn't even have done the procedure as the lump will just keep coming back and is harmless to the dog anyway. Also is not the cheapest vet around as claimed.

JUST JOINED. KNOW PETVAX VERY WELL .GREAT FRIEND OF THE VET AND A CUSTOMER AS WELL. RATISH IS A GREAT VET WHO RUNS A BUISNESS AT THE LOWEST POSSIBLE PROFIT SO ANIMALS ARE LOOKED AFTER. PEOPLE STILL COMPLAIN AS THEY CANT AFFORD IT.OF 10000 CUSTOMERS HE HAS A HANDFUL OF FALSE COMPLAINS...NOT BAD ! HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU GUYS MADE UPSET IN YOUR LIFE !NOT EVERYONE WILL EVER BE HAPPY. RATISH IS A GREAT GUY WITH CHARITABLE HEART. MANY MANY HUNDREDS OF ANIMALS HAVE BENEFITED FROM HIS GIVING AND HIS LOW PRICES. A MERE FEW MISUNDERSTANDINGS WILL NOT DETER HIM . HE WILL CONT TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY. I SUGGET YOU ALL BRUSH UP YO NEW LAWS AS ITS APPEARS THAT RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP IS LACKING.GOOD ON PETVAX FOR ENFORCING THEM. ALSO REMEMBER DONT ALWAYS BE MISDIRECTED AND INFLAMMED BY OTHER CLINICS AS PETVAX IS NOTIN GOOD BOOKS WITH MOST CLINICS FOR CHARGING LESS. BUT ABOUT =TIME ,WE SHOULD SUPPORT HIM SO MANY MORE ANIMALS CAN BE SAVED.IT APPEARS MOST PROBLEMS ARE PRICES RATHER THAN HIS VET ABILITY .

10,000 customers huh! Well this "star" of a vet must be the most popular vet in all of QLD as he must have more clients than every vet in QLD put together! How dare you accuse my complaint as being false!! Due to the lack of care received from this vet, my dog almost lost his life. I had to rush him to another vet who actually accepts Carecredit so I could get him tended to, do they have this facility available for animals he cares so much about? No he doesn't and why? He would get his "affordable fees" paid straight away but when I told him this he still refused knowing full well my dog was knocking on deaths door. If people couldn't afford it they wouldn't even step through a vets door...period!

Its your duty to ensure the vet you go to do creditcare. Its your job to ensure that you can pay your bill not petvax job. Petvax does great cvet job . pet vax continues to serve the community ..lots of great job done and many more will be done. If you think you have a legitimate a case go to high court.

I pride myself on being a responsible & dedicated owner!
I would rather pay HIGHER charges for my loved ones to receive HIGHER quality of care. Ratish & Pet Vax have lower prices yes! Great! If you want your pets to be be treated like they are a car going in for a service then sure go to Pet Vax!

I gave this vet the benifit of the doubt. When I had an issue they did not care. I mentioned all the complaints here and was told don't believe what you read from people with nothing better to do other than complain. I didn't believe at first, and trust me I have much better things to be doing but if I can stop people from taking there pets there I have done my job.

We have been going to Petvax for many years and all in all other than some not so friendly staff they have done the job we asked for but we have not gone back since we took our kitten in to be desexed, After we rang and made the appointment where nothing was said about the little kitten being caged, we got to the vet on our way to work, to be told we could not leave the kitten there un-caged, we were then told (not asked) to purchase a container from them.. after refusing to do so we were told our kitten would not be operated on and to take her away.. Even though it was an inconvenience to take her back home in peak hour traffic we did so rather then be forced into purchasing something we had no further use for.

well this is true..you are required by law to have cats in cages and dogs on leads in public areas.this is a legislative requirement and also the vet has a legal liability issues to enforce this.. well done.

To your above comment that it is the law, we had our kitten in our arms so she wasn't loose, also we took her to Anvet the next day in a pet cage and they told us they didn't want her in the cage ? so if it is law then ???
