I would say from the bottom of my heart that Physical Addiction, Celine and all the people who are either trainers or training there have played a huge part in making me feel like i am at home at this gym. All I can say now is join today, it really does change your life, the combination of a good gym and a great trainer who you build a good relationship with really does change your life. -

I have been trying out different gyms for over 12 months because I wanted to get back into shape and tone up.
Physical Addiction is relaxed, is not about trying to fleece you of money for a branded t-shirt, towel or water bottle. It's about having fun, enjoying the exercise and helping celebrate your little wins.
I've been attending Zumba 2 x week for 4 weeks now and have dropped a whole dress size. Classes are so energetic and it doesn't matter what level you are at everyone just gets in there and has fun.
My husband is amazed at my interest in attending a gym because i loathed excercise in the past but here I can't wait for my days to attend.
Never one to consider paying a membership before, but here they offer such reasonable pricing and there are memberships to suit everyone.
In the month i have been there, not once have I been bailed up to take out a membership. But i'm going to join because this is 'the' gym that I have fallen in love with.
Thanks Physical Addiction i'm feeling great. Celine, wow what can i say you have simply empowered me to get back to what i use to be.
To the rest of the family at Physical Addiction - You really make this gym a winner - It is not cold, sterile and clinical, its warm and full of people that are happy.

I have been a member of many a gym and have never found one that has made me feel as welcome as Physical Addiction has. You are more than just a client to the friendly staff, you become like family. Everyone knows your name and has a smile for you. I attend this gym any where between 4-6 times a week, their group fitness is outstanding offering the popular Zumba 7 days a week sometimes twice a day for those with conflicting schedules. There is an affordable creche available too.
I can see this gym/client relationship lasting a very long time.

This gym is amazing!!!!!!. In over a 12 year period I have been a member of a number of gyms and walked into so many others to enquire about membership and their facilities only to walk straight back out again.....but at PHYSICAL ADDICTION the moment I walked in and spoke with Celine I knew I wasn't going anywhere else. She is so friendly and bubbly and with a fantastic attitude to fitness and life like you wouldn't believe. She is truly dedicated to fitness and has a strong determination to help everyone at Physical Addiction reach their fitness goals. I have been a member of this gym for almost a year and I have spoken to many of the members who are just so happy with their results, with the atmosphere, the equipment and the fitness classes and they all say the same things I am stating in this review......that they are all here to stay.
If you are thinking about joining a gym for the first time or changing gyms, you must go into PHYSICAL ADDICTION and meet Celine, her lovely husband Joe, her brother Bruno, her sister-in-law Christina and their receptionist Spencer you will be so happy with the entire gym experience :)

I joined Physical addiction about the time it was conceived and have been training there since......it was not until this Christmas 2010 that I went away on holidays, and utilised gyms in the local area where I was staying to maintain my program, that I realised how spoilt and well catered for I have been as a member at Physical Addiction.
On going to the first gym, in the town I was staying in northern NSW, I was confronted with crazy fees, unfriendly staff, dilapated and out of date equipment, a disorganised/untidy weights room, unsuitable opening hours, and members who were more interested in the mirrors than training.
Thinking, "this must be a bad gym" I tried another and then another only to find the same displeasing results. I was not until the third attempt, to find a home away from home gym for my holidays, I realised how fantastic the facilities really are at Physical addiction.
The facilities are clean, tidy and in order..... the staff are friendly, warm, inviting and most importantly motivating...... the classes are plentiful and clearly enjoyable and most off all the members are friendly and not a group of pretentious mirror pigs. Further, the equipment is current and very well maintained.
From the weights room to the main cardio room, pool, womens room and child care facilities I challenge anyone to find another independently owned gym that reaches the standards that Celine, Jo, Bruno, Christina and the other crew have achieved at Physical Addiction.
When you are ready to join a gym I could not recommend a better gym then Physical Addiction. They will make your transition to a healthy lifestyle more easy.
To the team at Physical Addiction...... thanks for your constant support, friendship and welcomed pain!

As a very happy member of Physical Addiction , I am compelled to reply to the negative comments left by JVizzle. I know the owners very well. While I can accept and welcome constructive criticism, i believe that your comments are full of incorrect information and deliberate lies about Physical Addiction.
1. You make the comment that the gym has never been run as badly as it is now. Are you kidding me! This gym as never been run so well! In fact the previous owner was shut down because the place was so run down. I know because i was also a member here then and the new owners have given it a completely new look and are doing a fantastic job of running it.
2. There is no master switch or override switch to kill the fans as you have indicated. This is complete nonsense. Every single fan has its own power switch and members can turn any fan on at any time. Switching fans off during the day when the gym is empty makes perfect sense. There is no point having all the fans on during times when the gym is empty. Even if there is only one person in the gym then the fans will remain on! Although there is no air conditioning, they do have a number of large industrial coolers which work very effectively in keeping the temperature cool.
3. With regard to the staff member switching off the TV. They dont turn off the televisions unless the gym room is empty during the quiet times. The staff is very friendly and they always place their members first. The television remote control is at the front of the gym room and members are given access to the remotes. You cant get better than that! Also, the staff dont steal machines from members. Whats more than likely to have happened is that you have left the machine and the staff member has mistakenly assumed you were finished the exercise. This is a common occurrence in gyms.
4. With regard to the gym turning into a Zumba house. Physical Addiction run many Zumba classes because the overwhelming number of the group fitness members have requested more Zumba classes. I know that they add classes based on the feedback and demand from members, they are always asking us what we want. If enough members make a request for a class, then the owners try to add it. Zumba is extremely popular at Physical Addiction and that is what the current members want, me included!
5. Regarding the music volume , my husband trains in that room and he says that its f.ine. But this is a personal preference. Every one is different.
6. You are telling the biggest lie about the equipment being all old and run down. ALL the weight machines in the lower gym room are new and under 12 months old. All the treadmills, bikes, cross trainers, in fact all of the cardio machines upstairs are new and also under 12 months old. I know because i also trained at the previous gym!
7. Regarding the cost per year, that is up to the individual to decide before joining. Physical Addiction are not priced the same as the bigger gyms... this is complete nonsense. In fact they are very reasonably priced.
8. Have you approached management to discuss any of your concerns. I bet you have not. They also have an anonymous suggestion/complaints box for members. Have you even placed an anonymous suggestion, i bet you have not.
I know the owners personally and i can guarantee that they will try their best to help members and if you dont approach them with your concerns or problems then they cant fix them.
It appears obvious from your comments that you are deliberately trying to damage the good reputation of Physical Addiction. Whilst its a given that you cant please everyone, i have many friends that train here and are extremely happy with their memberships at Physical Addiction. Your comments were not truthful! -

I have recently discovered zumba, wow, its amazing. The staff at Physical Addiction are awesome. I have only been going to zumba for about 8 weeks, I have already lost a few kilos & a dress size, it really makes a difference. Celine is an awesome instructor, very supportive & is very motivational, Christina is also amazing & is again very supportive. The classes are loads of fun & I reccommend that if you are looking for a fitness change, head to Zumba & Physical Addiction. -
