Lovely selection of food with very unique and delicious concoctions. Order a large selection of the entrees as mains for a great sampling of Pier's offerings. (Impressed though with size of mains).
Server however was pretentious, inattentive, uninformed and annoyingly slow (20 minutes for a glass of wine? seriously?)

Food is 5 stars, but we left talking about the horrible service rather than the food.

beautiful food, attentive service (without being obsequious), beautiful location. Highly recommended.

There's no denying the food here is good. Some of the staff's austere attitudes took away from the view and the food and made me feel like I was eating in a clinical environment (a floating dental surgery?)

Sydney fine dining at its best. Went for lunch last Sunday. Fantastic seafood with unhurried service. $100 each before drinks (great wine list) and desserts. It's not the only Sydney restaurant to charge these sorts of prices but its probably one of the few that delivers value for money. I'm going back

The food here is obviously flawless, absolutely delicious. Great view of Rose Bay, with the boats and the water being a fantastic backdrop for even better food.

Although it is very expensive, and the atmosphere is not exactly 'casual', however if you are going for a special occasion (Birthday, etc) then it is definately worth it. Just be aware that a single meal (And the portions are hardly 'generous') can cost anything from $90 upwards.

While you do get what you pay for to an extent, it is still very expensive.

quality dining. the food is amazing as you'd hope when paying these prices. Staff a little bit aloof in general though.

has to be my favourite spot in Australia, food, service and wine list impecable. Especially enjoy The Pier for lunch with friends. It is elegant but relaxed with amazing seafood. My most recent trip was with friends from Japan who commented "this has to be in their top 3 favs in the world"

It's stunning dining over the water thanks to Greg Doyle's assured cooking.

This three-hat waterfront restaurant is not only home to the finest and freshest fish but also boasts some this city's best desserts. Chef Greg Doyle brings out subtle nuances in carefully cooked seafood, whether it's through the extravagance of pot-roasted lobster with kaffir lime and basil; a cream of scallop soup or a confit of Murray cod with smoked prawn butter. The service is as immaculate as the harbour views and a happy ending might include a remarkable combination of seared mango with coconut panna cotta and tamarind sorbet If you're feeling more casual, the Pier Tasting Room, at the front of the restaurant, is a no bookings tapas-style spot where you can pull up a stool and sample the exquisite morsels.

It?s easy to see why there has been nothing but applause for chef Greg Doyle?s shrine to the sea. Awash with nautical tones, the elegant room struts the length of a pier, jutting into Rose Bay and displaying stunning harbour views from every well-dressed table. It?s an irresistible lure, so sit back, imagine money is no object and savour some of the city?s finest seafood.
