On a quiet mid-week evening, I was hoping for a fairly quick dinner with friends. Unfortunately the Pink Pig had extremely slow service and we often had to go up to the bar to request drinks. I did not appreciate the bibs that diners are made to wear when ordering the ribs, for a restaurant that marks itself as premium, it is quiet a tacky procedure. The appetisers were tasty, albeit again very slow and the quantity of the main course was quite low considering the price charged. All in all I was disappointed by the service received in a restaurant that marks itself as premium, the food quality being the saving grace for three stars.
The packed weekend atmosphere proves that this is a popular place to eat, drink, or both. Their food is second to none and their specialty (pork dishes) are always a treat. Wait staff are timely and friendly.
