    I've been left out of pocket for $320 and yet my heater stil remains unfixed. This was a horrible experience and the worst trade job ever performed on my house which is getting renovated. The trade came late and despite thei website claiming a $50discount for late arrivals, this was never retrieved. A part was replaced and the heater worked for a short while before breaking down again. I called back about my problem but they just give me some lame excuse that it could be another part! So I have to pay more for them to come out again.
    No way i said. What a waste of money, besides that I had to take a day off work for the trade, which means I lost another $100 or so

    TERRIBLE! Had an issue with our heating. Got someone out and was told it'd be fixed if we purchased a new part. We (unfortunately) took their advice and had it installed. They asked for our credit card number but didn't provide any written paperwork, quote or anything (in hindsight we shouldn't have trusted them). The tradie had vaguely mentioned that we might need the new part eventually but the system should work for the time being (could last a couple of years he said). The heating worked for about 5 minutes before it broke down after he'd "fixed" it. The next day, called about 4 or 5 times. Was told someone would get back to us. No one did. Eventually spoke to one operator who was not only rude but didn't listen and then had the nerve to say that the tradie (who successfully fixed the problem for about 5 minutes) was actually going to come come over the next day and fix the problem FOR REAL THIS TIME by purchasing another part that we had to pay for - in addition to another call out fee and labor costs. Apparently they go around buying parts and trying fix things and having customers incur these costs without us even knowing about it! I told the "operator" that we weren't told that they were going to buy any new parts or that they were coming to install it the next day. Seems like they were have to make these kinds of decisions without consulting us, because they had our credit card number they could keep buying new parts and making us pay for their installation! We hadn't ever agreed that the tradie would install the new part and hadn't even spoken to them about when they'd might potentially come and install it but apparently we had to pay for it and we was coming anyway!! The operator kept talking over me and not listening (obviously they'd had many conversations like this before because my compliant didn't appear to phase them in the slightest) I asked to speak to the management. Was told I was already speaking to one and refused - then said couldn't speak any longer because they needed to go home!!! I told them that we wouldn't be paying for any additional work that we didn't agree on and that we wouldn't require their services any longer.
    Needless to say the problem STILL isn't fixed at all and we still don't have a receipt for the $400 that they took out of our account for the initial part and labor that didn't fix the problem in the first place. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    This outfit charges double the rate of other plumbers. I have since discovered from the they charge $148 per hour! We would never have accepted that if we had known from the start. I admit that the staff we had did a good job and was efficient. They asked for the full amount within hours of arriving (this was a big job that took several days), but readily accepted a 20% deposit instead. They asked me again for the full amount after the first part of the job had been done even though it was weeks before they could come back and do the rest. I tried calling management to ask about this, and was rudely questioned for my queries. They repeatedly asked me into paying the bulk, despite the fact that their invoice clearly states that the balance is payable on completion.

    When asked about the second part of the job, we were told "you can hold us to a total cost of $1000", but afterwards told us that it was just an estimate, so based now on an hourly rate, we would have to pay more than that.

    Upon completing the job yesterday afternoon again they wanted final payment there and then, but fortunately they took down my credit card number incorrectly, so we felt we had a bit of time to check the figures out. There were three phone calls that afternoon, and the very next morning, they were back again for the money. Not even 24 hours to sort out payment for a big job! Their customer service is appalling. We would definitely never use them again.

      I had the same experience with their customer service. Absolutely rude and unfriendly. They even threatened to hang up one me. I was also asked to pay up immediately and unfortunately they took my credit card details correctly and promptly took my money. Is this behavior acceptable?

    Expensive. Charged 200 clams to come out and look at my gas hot water heater. Spent all of 15 minutes looking at it and told me I needed a new one. Call Just Hot Water

    Had a blocked drain in the shower. They were able to attend the next morning, and attended on time. This in and of itself is a good recommendation for a plumber, as I have had a lot of trouble getting anyone to attend within a week previously. The problem appears to have been fixed, and did not take very long (under 10 minutes). However, they were very expensive and I do not consider that it was particularly good value for money. Additionally, the staff left the front door open while traipsing in an out, and could easily have let my cats escape.

    Had a blocked sewer in Caroline Springs. Called Plumb First and they sent out a lovely fellow called Yas. He was very polite and clean and did a great job unblocking my sewer. Didn't take too long which was great. He cleaned after himself really well. Not sure why the other reviews were not so good about thie company. I was really happy with the plumber that was sent by Plumb First. Bit pricey but all plumbers are I guess.

    I renovate my bathroom and shop around for best plumber and Plumbfirst appeared as a good plumber as on their website with satisfaction guaranteed service. Called them to arrange a visit in between 7.30-8.30AM and phone service was good at the time. However, next morning they came up late at 8.40AM. I could not wait for them and left to work at 8.30AM, only my mate was at home and met them at home. Later they called me and gave me a price that was almost triple in compare to my others quotes, so I refused the quote. I called back to the office to tell them about the late arrival of the plumber, they said I had arranged the visit in between 8-9AM???. I did not want to argue with them about the appointment time because everything was talking over the phone and there was no evidence to back up my words. But anyway I had no problem to pay them the visit charge of $65 as agreed before and I also asked them for the quote in writing in which they should say details of works to carry out and the cost. But that thing never happened, all I received from the service was late staff and a high price quote given through a phone call, no further explanation and paid $65. The satisfaction guaranteed service does not happen to me at least and I will not recommend this company to any one.

    We called plumb first to take a look at our hot water heater, which was not heating water. There was no process to diagnose any problems, other than holding the under of the water and proudly exclaiming that "it's not heating the water". They then took a few guesses at what may be the problem (without actually looking at any of the parts they claimed may be at fault), and after a second call out and one unnecessary part later (which didn't fix the problem!) told us that they couldn't actually do the replacement of some additional parts that they guessed may be faulty and that there was only one gas fitters in Melbourne that could fit them (we later found out that there are at least 20!). The management of plumb first then argued with us over the phone, changing their story and definitions with every sentence. Months later, with consumer affairs involved, and after an admission that they did not take due care and would give a full refund, and we"re still waiting for the refund!

    The website says they quote but you have to pay $249 for the first hour. We had blocked drains caused by tree roots and all he did was shove a high pressure water cleaner down the drain which didn't do anything! And then said he couldn't help and we would have to get the whole yard dug up. Very expensive for my pensioner mother. Would not recommend!
