I'd heard mixed reviews about this place prior to going and I can see why, it won't suit everyone's tastes. Nevertheless from my perspective upon being guided through, the place is definitely tacky, cheap chairs and tables and the areas are generally cramped.

Definitely not a relaxed atmosphere to dine if that's what you seek. Service was another problem for me, whilst it provided the typical Yum Cha cart style menu, much of the staff are too busy hustling and bustling around to provide decent customer service. and could easily be conceived as being rude. I must say alarm bells went off when they got my simple order for a Coke wrong and brought a lemonade instead!

Having said all this, the food is absolutely superb, with a special mention to the desserts, all of them were amazing (yes we did try them all!). Of course, Plume seems to know already they make great food because the prices are high for a Yum Cha style restaurant.

Long story short, if you're looking for a Yum Cha style restaurant with terrific food and are happy to overlook the cheap looking setting, noisy atmosphere and abrupt (even rude) service then feel free to take a look at Plume.

The banquet is fantastic with all the meals coming out with just enough time to let the last course go down so you can enjoy the next. Service not too bad

I found this restaurant was too noisy, had very poor, unattentive service and over priced. Their were three of us who had a $52 banquet. It took over an hour to get a drink and over one hour to order once you got someones attention waving madly. The food for this price was not worth it and the portions small. The cheapest bottles of wine $35.00. Not worth it in my opinion. Toilet facilities up stairs which makes it difficult when you are seated at the back of the restaurant in the corner.I would not go back here.

A favourite classy restaurant that I have visited again & again. Peking duck is v. good for a special treat. It is expensive but quality is worth it. Service has always been at a good standard.

    This restaurant is exceptional.
If I could afford it, I'd eat there daily.

The banquet is amazing and service faultless. A little on the pricey side but perfect for a special occasion.
