I dropped my car off for repairs and used their loan car. The guy checked over the car and made a note of any damage. I didn't give the car a good check myself and this is where it all went wrong.
When I returned to pick up my car, rather than inspect my car to see if I was happy, they went straight to the loan car and pointed out a scratch that hadn't been marked off when I took the car.
I explained that I had been very careful with the car and there was no way I could have caused the damage. They didn't listen and kept pointing out the fact that I had signed the form and therefore was responsible for the repairs. Luckily I noticed a couple of scratches when I picked the car up or they would be trying to make me pay for those ones as well.
They were inattentive when I first dropped off the car and when I went back, the guy looked at me like he'd never seen me in his life, and this was only a day later!
Be very careful if you borrow their loan car, and make sure that you inspect the car very carefully. I would also advise that you take photos.
I have a feeling that these guys make alot of extra money by charging people for scratches that they leave off the damage report. And seeing as they are a crash repairer, the car was in pretty average condition when I took it. This means that they aren't doing the repairs that they are charging people for when they borrow the loan car.
