Had a gelato at Pompei's after a surf. Intense chocolate and pistachio flavours, and wide variety of flavours. They sell their gelatos at the servery on the corner of Roscoe street. I think they also let you have a taste test before buying. Have not tried their dining, although will do next time.

I'm very, very disappointed ! Firstly, the atmosphere was awful. I've been working in hospitality back in the time and I can understand. The place definitely needs a restyling. Very 'old-fashioned' and a bit dirty. The food: average quality (I would say bland), overpriced. The service wasn't great too, the wait staff was pretty nice , but we had to wait almost an hour and a half before being served! It was ridiculous! Definitely the worse restaurant experience in the last few years!

If you like thin pizzas, then pompei's does it best. I like their gnocchi too which you can get as an entree or main size (love that!) but last time I went they overdid it a bit with the seasoning (too much salt). My friend's eggplant pizza was delicious (I had a piece yum!). They have great gelato too, but since the new renovations they've added fancy silver lids that sit on top of each of the flavours so you can't see the soft colourful folded mounds of gelato which means I can walk past and not be tempted - good for my diet, not so good for business.

Usually love the pizza here. But last week was very disappointed. Soggy, non existent base on two pizzas. Was placated with complimentary gelato, but still very disappointing.

A relaxed atmosphere and pizza that you can only describe as "delicioso", Pompeii's is one of those perfect pizza places!

Great place to take kids, the staff will provide pens to write on table cloths extremly noisy and the tables are basicly on top of each other.

Food portions are very small all though excellent quality, Over priced.

Stratiatella – creamy, dreamy white ice cream with delicate choc layers. Go on, get two scoops, it’s that good. The raspberry sorbet is delicioso too.
