Do not buy a car from Porsche Centre Melbourne. I urge anyone considering purchasing a car from Porsche Centre Melbourne to not do so. Ive owned 3 Porsches, umpteen BMW's and never have I been so badly treated. In short, I purchased a Pre-Owned 911 Cabriolet; this had apparently undergone the Porsche acclaimed used vehicle 111-Point Inspection. It was nothing short of a dog. I live in NSW so took the car for an inspection the day after I purchased it so that I could register it. It failed on no less than 3 things and was deemed unroadworthy. Then within a week I found over 20 or so significant items wrong with the car. These ranged from the convertible roof, which had shrunk (I was told by the dealership to put my hand out the window and pull the roof down thats aftersales service for you right there) which then caused the roof mechanism to shatter and cut my face with a plastic shard. Other items included the underside of the vehicle missing (literally), two front tyres bald, later I discovered that the rear tyres were not even the right size for the wheels (how does that even happen?). When I finally sold the vehicle it became clear that I was deliberately misled by PCM regarding the finance. I had only wanted to structure this over 3 years, however the PCM Finance representative convinced me to take a 5 year term as there were no early termination fees and that it would be far better for me. I have just had to pay a significant early termination fee. I called PCM to discuss this and was assured of a call back by the Sales Management - Ive since called again and still no call back. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. Its not even been the fact that the car was so bad, more that the way in which it has been handled by the staff all the way up to the Dealer Principle unfortunately. To add insult to injury this dealership is actually owned by Porsche! please take my warning and shop elsewhere or better still buy an alternative marque. After 8 years loyalty to Porsche I have just bought an Aston Martin who do know what customer service means. I am currently seeking to have my story aired by a well known news investigation program and I also intend to undertake a civil action. But save yourself the pain, time and upset that I have gone through and simply buy elsewhere.

PCm care little about the customer and seem to delight in having to replace high cost parts on your car. You will recieve poor service and will need to leave the car there for long periods of time - but you will have big bills, after all, it is a porsche.
