I use this Dr service when I cant get in to see my regular Dr. There are no appointment bookings so the wait time can be long (up to 4 hours), but they now bulk bill all patients (used to be a $30 gap). The doctors are mostly good and there is a x-ray service and pharmacy attached. Open early till late 7 days a week which is helpful. Good alternative to the emergency room.
all four times, negative feedback. longest waiting time was 2 hours, shortest 1 hour. $30 gap fee, and on one occasion, a payment issue, they sent it to a debt collector, 2 years after the appointment, and gave no notice themselfs to me, even though i went there twice after that appointment. Rating 0/5
Waited an hour and then asked how long the expected wait was. Got told I was still a fair way down the list so probably 2-4 hours. I had my 2 year old with me so didn't want to wait that long. Told them I wanted to cancel and they refused to refund the gap payment to me which they make you pay upfront.
The should tell people what the expected waiting time and that there's no refund on payment BEFORE you book in. Instead they just put a little stamp which is hard to read that says "payment non refundable" on your receipt.
Waiting periods are long and there is a gap of $30.00. However I think the gap may be waived if you have a health care card. Doctors there are great, very helpful and will take as long as it needs to help you, rather than rushing through. I have found that when I visit a particular doctor on a few occasions (you can request to see the next available, or a particular doctor) they will see your name and get you in quicker. I generally wait about half an hour. Which considering its packed and no appointments are made is pretty good. They are also open until 10pm - much less busy later at night. In a non-offensive way the majority of the doctors are caucasian - previously I have had difficulty with doctors with strong accents.
A truly negative experience. Had to wait 3 hours to see a doctor for a prescription (with no prior warning that the wait would be this long). The waiting room was full of people many of whom were more ill than I was. Really felt for them to have to wait SO LONG to see a doctor - do not want to repeat the experience again in a hurry. An upfront fee of $30 charged and when I explained after 1 1/2 hours wait I wanted to leave was told there was a no refund policy. Then had to wait another 1 1/2 hours to see doctor.
An excellent clinic to attend if you don't have the need for a regualr doctor. Its a walk in clinic and although the waiting room is always full you generall don't have to wait too long o see a doctor. They were excellent when m daughter cut her head open, we were seen within 5 minutes
It is nice to know that a medical centre like the Primary is available to locals. The doctors are busy, but helpful. The centre has an x-ray facility as well as treatment rooms. I have been there many times, having different types of treatment and 99% has been bulk billed.
