    We made an appointment with Pulse to replace our old lights with 20 down-lights and install a new fan. The appointment was for 2.5hrs. It took their staff 3.5 hours to put only 10 holes in our ceiling (which had been pre-marked for them), de-install 3 lights and a fan and discover faulty wiring. They then left.

    This left us with not a single light installed and a huge bill. When I called to invite them to come and inspect their electricians work, or lack of it, they not only refused but said that what they achieved in 3.5hrs was more than reasonable. We strongly disagree and won't be using them again.

      update to my previous review... Pulse changed their minds and decided they would come and inspect the work done by their electrician. They ended up agreeing with us, rectified the problems we had with his work(well above and beyond our expectations) and asked if they would be allowed to quote to finish the job. Their quote was very generous and they completed the job to a very professional standard. In fact our expectations were so far exceeded that I am updating my earlier comment! The original electrician is no longer working for Pusle. In the end, the way in which the company rectified our complaint was very professional and deserving of a five star rating.

    Sought a couple of quotes to move my pool equipment and ACs over to Tariff 33, couple of sparkies told me it couldn't be done, would have to run extra cables etc thousands of dollars despite my own research that showed the Energex cabling manual said it could be done. When I rang pulse and explained what I wished to achieve they advised no problems, seemed they had also read the cabling manual, Sparky turned up, checked out the board ducked away to pick up the right physical size breaker and was back, installed, tested and everything working in a couple of hours. So as far as I am concerned they will be my got to Sparkies in the future.

    I contacted Pulse Electrical as I needed an electrician that could do some renovation work for us at very short notice after being let down by another company. The man and his helper that came out was very helpful & friendly and throughout the job we found the staff to be professional & altogether great to deal with. We are very happy with the service that we received and the work that was done.

    I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company & will definately be using them as our electricians from now on. Thanks Pulse

    I had Pulse Electrical install light fittings and data points in our house.

    First off let me say that the 2 blokes that came round were really nice guys and were very friendly.

    The light fittings went smoothly however the not when it came to the data side of things.

    At the beggining of the job the guys said it should cost about $400 - $450.
    They started trying to hook the RJ45 ethernet cable (computer cable) into the phone line and couldn't figure out why the computer connection wouldn't work.
    After i explained to the guys that the computer cable cannot run through the telephone line they tried to get the computer cable running on its own only to find they didn't have the right equipment.
    They then left to go to the store and came back with the correct equipment and installed it all only to find it didn't work and they didn't know how to fix it. On top of this they had also caused my phone line to stop working and spent a good 20 minutes trying to fix it.
    In the end after a couple of phone calls later to their "experts" it turned out to be one of the pieces of equipment they put in was faulty and when it was replaced everything started working.

    They were here for over 4 hours and i was charged $720 for the experience.
    I told the bloke i was highly unimpressed that i was paying for their lack of expertise and that i didn't want to pay that amount and he brought it down to $688 for me.

    I would not reccomend Pulse to anyone.

      Further to this i emailed the company about my expereince and they got back to me today and have reimbursed me for some of my money.

      All in all not a great expereince but i appreciate the effort made by Pulse in addressing my concerns which is more than most companies do with complaints.

      Make up your own mind if you use them or not but i like to be fair and i wouldn't feel right if i didn't mention this latest bit of information.

      Unbelievable... This just gets worse and worse.
      Now the people that do our security alarm are telling me that they are unable to connect to my security console as the phone line appears to be down to the security device.
      Shockingly it has been out of action since Tuesday morning. This just happens to be the day after Pulse electrical had been over and stuffed around with a perfectly working phone line.
      I am now going to be out of pocket paying ADT to fix the stuff up by Pulse.

      Just when you think its over, BAM, Pulse hits again. Worst expereince ever!

    Pulse installed a number of fittings, the Electricians were friendly and quick. However we experienced a small explosion at the fitting, upon inspection, the wiring was burnt and clearly was not installed correctly. When I requested Pulse to attend and repair the obviously faulty wiring, they advised that I would need to pay full fees - there is no warranty on their workmanship.

    I'm disgusted with this lack of service, mistakes can be made, however responsibility needs to be taken and the necessary repairs to the fault should be carried out.

    I will not use Pulse or recommend them in the future.

      hey mate im a tradsman and i know that if theyve done something wrong like that it is there responsibility to fix it free of charge. if its happened with in 12 months. its a condition of holding a contractors licence.
