Highly recommend! We could have spent two days here! Excellent design, amazing exhibits, endless entertainment. My two kids had the best day (we still rave about it now). The cafe wasn't thrilling but I won't let that spoil my review, as you could bring your own food. Questacon is an absolute must-see if you visit Canberra!

I went here during a school camp when I was 14 to the ACT and have nothing but fond memories of the day.
At the time we went there was a carnival exhibition and we spent the majority of the day in that area. The whole exhibition was about the science behind carnival rides and illusions and our whole experience was nothing but laughing, screaming and being big kids.
A friend dared me to stick my head in the guilitine hologram and it was so life-like and nerve racking I screamed and the whole room started laughing with me. Great fun!

If I ever have kids I am taking them up here for a weekend as even I wouldn't mind coming back (now 23).

This was our 3rd visit to Questacon. We took our boys when they were 4 years old, 7 years old and now as 8 year olds. They loved their first 2 visits, but this one was different. Unfortunately they have renovated some of the exhibits and they have removed some of the old favourites. It was the Easter long weekend so it was very busy and the queues were ridiculously long to get on to anything. We gave up after about half an hour and left. Such a shame as our boys had such wonderful memories of this place. We might give it a few years before returning. Maybe by then there will have been yet more changes made and our boys might find new things to discover.

A great day out when it's pouring down! We checked out the Perception Deception exhibition (as a part of Culture Shock) and although we were one of a handful of couples, we still managed to have a great time. There are a range of activities for kids, even 6month to 4year olds, as well as things to keep the young at heart occupied. Entry was more than we expected but didn't turn us away. They have special promotions and deals with the Canberra Zoo and other local sights.
