Perfect. Only lost half a star because you need a car to get to a shop for essentials like milk

I found my stays at The Royal Pines Resort fantastic. I do find though the staff are to the minimal, for example, around the pool (in my experience) there were no staff to be found eg. Lifeguards etc.

The new Italian restaurant there wasn't worth it, the pizza and pasta were ordinary. Although if you are looking for an amazing dining experience then go to the Arakawa Japanese Restaurant, they have beautiful fresh sushi and a tasty teppanyaki and an a la carte menu to.

I don't find that the rooms are very "family" friendly, your more looking on the romantic couples side, but you can specially ask for a joined room (2 rooms with a door on the inside leading to the other room) which is good for families. The rooms are clean, tidy, modern and efficient.

Although the RACV Royal Pines it is a bit pricey I believe you are getting your moneys' worth.

The Royal Pines Resort looks as good in real life as it does online.

From the moment you approach the entrance, and the valet takes your car, there is a sense of how grand it feels. Arriving in the evening makes it even more so.

The rooms are modern and inviting. For those who inspect the bathroom first up, rest assured they are very impressive! Water pressure is fantastic, everyone loves a good shower!

You can choose a room with or without a balcony - those with children might feel safer without one like me. Still, every room has a gorgeous view. On each floor there are windows where you can also inspect the view. Being able to see outside gets rid of the claustrobia feeling alot of hotels have.

The RPR restaurant has a fantastic all you can eat breakfast menu. A little pricey but you dont have to eat the rest of the day. Seating is inside or you can eat by the pool. Its definitely relaxing!

For dinner, it used to be a favourite of mine, but in recent years its changed. Seafood and salads, roast etc. Also all you can eat although, room service would be better value. Gets very crowded at times too.

The pool is fantastic, lots of chairs and shade. A slide for the kids, hours of fun to be had there. Theres a free shuttle bus over to the rec club where theres a gym, spa and heated pool.

Small park for the kids, golf for the men. Have a drink in the bar before heading back to your room, the lounge is a great place to relax. Excellent service, amenities and always value for money!

    I wont stay anywhere else.

Bit of a mixed bag for me. The golf course is fantastic, beautiful greens, carts with GPS for distance, immaculate fairways, really wonderful to play on...it should be for the price.
The stay however I found over rated, rooms are nice...functional but not special, yes there are good views course is very picturesqe. Pool area is relaxing, well laid out and the food was good though a little pricey.
It was the service and attitude we copped at the RPR resturant that ruined the whole experience, they stuffed up our reservation and we were made to feel at fault and an inconvenience to them.
Now I'm no high roller but I do alright and to have the duty manager look down her nose at you and practically dismiss you when they messed up is appalling.
By all means give it a try you may have a far better experience than we did. But I wouldn't recommend it.
    Over rated!
