    Pretty much the only cafe in Elizabeth St. Nth Hobart means Rain Check it is always super busy and noisy. There is always a longish wait for food but it's always worth the wait...super-yummy! Friendly Staff. Heat panels outside are great in for chilly Hobart winter. Some vego but no vegan options.

    Great little restaurant. The tapas is superb(especially the quail). The staff are very friendly and helpful and most importantly know their way around the extensive wine list.
    We found the final bill to be well below what you would expect to pay for such a good night out.

    Picture young poets writing melancholy volumes on the second hand couch, or literature nuts sipping lates near the window talking about the latest greatest novel ever written. Have a look through the artsy photog mags provided if you don't bring your own heavy reading. Partake in one of the delicious cakes on offer, or the too good to be true burgers. This place is deep man, but not in the annoying way. Great atmosphere and service.

    Smack in the middle of the North Hobart strip, the Rain Check Lounge has a mural just inside the door that zaps visitors into a semi-psychedelic state. Thus rendered, they are plied with coffee, beer, wine and Italian-inspired contemporary cuisine while a little funky music bops on in the background.
