In my experience, each person seeks something different from therapy. Some people need a quiet space where they can regain some sense of themselves, find clarity amidst the confusion, and benefit from the unique experience of being fully listened to. Some people want the therapist to hold up a mirror to show them their hidden selves, to gain a greater understanding of how others see them and why their relationships and their lives are as they are. And then others seek a more structured therapeutic process, with clear strategies that will help them overcome their current challenges. Because each client is so different, I tailor my approach to best meet their needs, thereby creating a unique therapy for each person. My goal is always to create an atmosphere of safety and trust, and help remove the barriers that block each person's pathway to achieving what is most important for them. I have special interest in working with clients who are experiencing challenges with relationships, trust and insecurity, self esteem and image, grief and loss, early childhood trauma, life stage transitions, loneliness, life meaning and direction, and cross-cultural issues. I work with individuals and couples, face to face and online.
