Rashay's Cafe and Restaurant in Macquarie Street seeks to enable diners to experience an inner city eatery in the suburbs. The outdoor seating area is quite spacious, with widescreen televisions on the wall playing the latest music. Meanwhile, the cuisine is Modern Australian, with an emphasis on seafood dishes. Try the salt and pepper squid with chips. Rashay?s can get busy, so there is a high table turnaround, particularly throughout the evening.

Reviews of Rashays Cafe

  • love Rashays, eaten here many times never had a problem, great food and service
  • Rashays is great! I've eaten there a number of times and love it! Keep up the great work!!!
  • I am always apprehensive about eating in the western suburbs.....we ordered 3 pizzas and a mega schnitzel. It was probably one of the most disgusting meals I've ever had. I was struggling to put my finger on exactly what was wrong with the food and as I felt severe stomach cramps set in I realised it was that the ingredients were a cheap low quality alternative....from the aldi brand 'coke' to the BBQ pizza with salami that is questionably sliced off a stick of dog food. Thank you for making my trip to Liverpool as disappointing as I had assumed it would be.

Went back here tonight for a casual dinner and the only WOW-factor I tasted all night was my pepper sauce. The floor underneath our table was covered in sticky soft drink residue and our glasses were chinked and dirty - finger prints on the inside and out. Anyway, we tried to ignore these things and went ahead and ordered. The three of us got mains and a drink each and were thoroughly disappointed with our meals. My friend and I ordered steaks each - I got the 250g rump with chips ($14), he got the same piece of meat with mash ($19) and my hubby got a pizza. Hubby's pizza arrived and it was of a generous serving with lots of meat and pepperoni. The steaks arrived, with flags pushed into them (with a toothpick) indicating how they had been cooked. Medium rare for me, medium well for our friend. We both cut in and were half amused, half shocked at the dry, grey mass of meat in front of us. Mine was almost inedible, but thankfully the chips were half decent. Hubby kept pushing for us to send them back, referred to My Kitchen Rules' number one steak rule: if you give the option, perform! But we plodded along, paid our $60 and left. Yes, the "chefs" are high schoolers and yes it's a bit of an American diner but surely they can do better than this.

While we didn't go to the cafe in Liverpool (we visited the Mt Druitt one) our experience was pretty good. The staff were super friendly and kept popping up here and there to see if we were ready to order, were enjoying our meal or could help us with anything. A little to perky for my liking, but hey, they were keen. The $8 special schnitty was alright value if you like your schnitzel small, but I really can't complain. I wasn't a fan of the American- diner-style seating arrangement & lighting, but my brother loved it. All in all, an average experience. Not my cup of tea, but some love this place!
  • very nitce atmosphere excellent customer service, the fastest food delivery i have ever encountered, will go back for sure
  • i liked the food and service would go back
  • I found hair in my food TWICE which turned me off!!! I still paid $24 for that 1 bite i had...
  • Went there last week, I loved the food, and the staff were friendly as well. Atmosphere was great as well - very casual. Will definitely be going back.
