Went back for a second try and Red Lantern didn't disappoint. Delicious!

Luke Nguyenn was in the house so it was going to be a good one. The renovation of this restaurant (previously a pizzeria) is magical, with a cocktail/waiting area at the rear with to a cocktail list to die for.
We dined for lunch so it wasn't too busy at all, but I'm guessing if its anything to go by the Red Lantern on Crown Street, that this place is a busy one at night.
The service i great and what you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant. The menu didn't look cheap (thank god the boss was paying ;)
But the food was really really amaze, full of flavor, Vietnamese with a modern Australian twist - by no means is this place authentic, but I didn't mind at all as the food was divine.
Great place for a special dinner with one or many people.
Full 5 stars from me :)

This could very well be my new favourite. After reading their book and understanding how far they've come, it was really nice to check out their latest chapter. It also probably helped that Luke himself was there, working the room and showing us the new set up! The service was exceptional, the decor is brilliant, the whole place is fitted out for 'share style' from the menus to the tables. There are a few private tables but they've also adopted the communal eating concept, which provides a fantastic vibe but if you're looking for a quieter venue for a first date or similar then perhaps opt for the bar at the back (across from Love Tilly Devine), bar menu and cocktail list. Every dish was very tasty and so fresh, plan and book ahead in advance as this is the new hot spot and rumour has it they are booked out a month ahead at least for Saturdays at the moment.

I went here for a work lunch. The food is amazing. The decor and vibe is really good too. We ordered a couple of entrees, a mid-meal and three mains as suggested by the waitress which filled everyone up perfectly. I highly recommend the crab noodles. The experience was made even better when Luke Nguyen personally stopped by the table to ask us how we were enjoying the meal. A really friendly guy. Then as we were leaving, he offered to show us the back bar which is a new, nice touch. Will definitely be checking out the bar and restaurant again very soon!

I'd been to Red Lantern on Crown before and was expecting big things, Riley Street didn't disappoint.

We went for a weekday lunch and the menu was ideal, there are lots of dishes that are great for sharing. The front of house staff were spot on and we were lucky enough to have a quick word with Luke Nguyen too. He showed us through to the cocktail bar at the back - will definitely be going back!

Wow. The food here is soooo tasty! It also has a magic atmosphere and nice little bar at the back. Not cheap, but well worth a visit.
