Red Poppies Café is close to North Balwyn Shopping Centre tram station and popular amongst the locals for its coffee, breakfast and lunch menu. It offers a range of salads, pasta, foccacia and sandwiches every of the week (closed on Saturdays in January). The café accepts BYO and takeaway is always available.

This Greek cafe is run by the wonderful and friendly Poppy. She cooks all the food and cakes herself, and it is all great. The cafe has a wonderful, warm feel to it, and all the staff are lovely. Poppy offers hot food, a well stocked sandwich bar, juice bar, coffee, shakes and a wide range of deserts, including a gluten free selection. A great place to go for a relaxing dining or coffee drinking experience.
