    I frequent this franchise at this particular spot, because there are days you just don't want to cook, you don't want to drive miles away and you don't want junk food either.

    There are several take away places and a shopping centre, so it is a good place to stop if your driving through town. There is also a couple of video stores and also a fuel station, but they are not opened 24/7.

    At Red Rooster I am glad that they have put a shelter at the drive through speaker box for when it rains.

    But I have been left disappointed a few times. Notably when they were out of chicken (can you believe it?) and just this week my vegetables in the classic roast were so undercooked it tasted raw and took some effort to cut with a knife.

    Not surprisingly most the staff lack the proper training that comes from more seasoned professionals in the hospitality industry. I'm not talking about gourmet restaurants. I mean things like not yelling across the room to another staff member to 'just give the customer at the window another pack of chips because their out of potatoes' (without asking the customer by the way).

    The staff are never rude and do follow most procedures. There have been a few staff who are very good. But they are few.
