    I have visited Corinya on several occassions and each time I noticed the happy demeanour on the faces of the residents which would attest that they are receiving the care they deserve. I also noted how the residents are occupied, in that they actively participate in activities, and was informed that this Facility embrasses a concept called the Eden Alternative. The core concept of the Eden Alternative is simple: Teaching ourselves to see existing and new care environments as habitats for human beings that promote health and well being rather than facilities for the frail and elderly.

    The Eden Alternative shows how companions, animals, children and plants help in providing an opportunity for a meaningful contribution and care, and how this concept works at preventing and eliminating the aged care plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom. Other aged care facilities can also benefit from this concept as Corinya's residents do.

    My Mother is a resident at Regis Corinya, and I could not be more pleased with the quality of care that they provide. The staff are so kind, friendly and supportive and are an absolute pleasure to deal with. Knowing that my Mother is so well cared for gives me great peace of mind!

    It has been my honour and privelege to know the Manager of "Regis Corinya" as a neighbour/friend/travelling companion. She always speaks passionately about aged care, strategies to make things better and is totally dedicated to the residents, their families and staff in her care . All her pursuits are carried out with her whole heart, mind and spirit. She is a person of the higest integrity and ethical standards and under her direction it is no surprise to me that Regis Corinya has been nominated for the 2009 City News Business Achiever Awards.

    I am a frequent visitor at Corinya, and i have to comment on the friendly faces of staff and Resident. It is always clean and tidy and the Resident are well dressed and happy. It is always a pleasure to visit there, as we are always made to feel welcome.

    Corinya has well qualified staff to care for the residents, that why they have been succesfull in all their accreditations. This speaks volumes for the care that the Residents recieve.

    The staff at Corinya are to be commended for the excellent care that they provide everyday towards the residents. Additionally, the customer service is A1 because staff are attentive to anyone who walks in from the street. This courteous behaviour is rather in today's society! Well done Corinya!!!

    Corinya creates a natural environment with lots of plants and animals. The people who live at Corinya are looked after holistically. Daily massage and reflexology are one of the many cares offered. I have just heard that Regis Corinya has won the 2009 Excellence in Aged Care Award for QLD, in my opinion this is well deserved.

    Regis Corinya is a happy place with staff who are very friendly and helpful. All the residents seem happy. Each time I take my mum to see her cousin, she remarks on how well she looks and cared for. I'm so pleased that the family chose Corinya for my mum's cousin. Also they have a variety of daily activities program that keep everyone interested and active.

    Corinya strives to provide various lifestyle programs to stimulate the interests of the residents by embracing programs such as the Eden Alternative to alleviate loneliness, boredom and hoplessness. Residents are interactive with each other and with staff and appear to be happy. Other aged care facilities could benefit from this program.
