Where would Hobartians go to se interesting cutting & edge bands if it weren't for Republic? Great pub meals and outdoor heated beer garden for smokers, funky staff. Thanks Republic!

Great little bar! Food is well prepared and tasty and the crowd is unreal! Everyone seems really happy to be there, and why not, this place has the best bands and best staff !!!
Would definitely go back for drinks any night of the week!!

The scene here is so beatnik and cool. The food is not what you'd expect from a somewhat dingy rock pub...it's very well done alacarte style fare. The bands are quirky and the staff are too but the beer is cold, the food is good and there is ALWAYS an atmosphere.

Wow what a place, the food is awesome, the staff are all great and they always get some pretty good bands in later on at night. The best Bar/Cafe in Hobart easily.....!
