Excellent ! I am a very harsh judge when it comes to food but i simply could not fault this place. My boyfriend is a chef so usually a very big critic when it comes to food but he could not fault it either. The service and the food was amazing and i would defiantly go back again. -

Went to dinner tonight to try out the degustation menu at Restaurant II to celebrate my wife's new position. After hearing such good things we couldn't wait to taste!
Unfortunately, most of the courses for the degustation were below par. The highlight was the seared scallops and the Creme Brule for dessert. Some of the dishes seemed to be slapped together with minimal thought, and minimal flavour. The waiter even took away the bread plate and butter after the 3rd course (there were 4 more courses to go! And we were only offered one slice)
The service was average, and after I complimented one dish I was hesitant to mention how badly we thought of the other dishes. At the end of the meal the waiter with very little people skills asked how the meal was. My wife said that it was quite poor, and that we had just come back from Sydney to visit some of the best restaurants which we were comparing them to. He basically just said ok and seemed to take offense. As we walked out of the restaurant we noticed them looking at us and laughing to another waiter which just made it worse...
We have eaten there before and everything was great, but this experience means we will not return. The meal was $140 per person! We expected better.... -

A very reasonably priced restaurant fit for couples or large parties. I went to a function there and it was beautiful. Some of the best wait staff in Brisbane I think - very professional but not overbearingly uptight. Fantastic dining experience -

Possibly the best restaurant in Brisbane that I've been too in terms of food and service. If you want to impress someone, this is the place to go. Meals are not overpriced and the wide range of wines make the whole experience special. Restaurant Two is packed even on week nights, and I can definately see why.

An institution for Brisbane’s business set. Gaze over the Botanic Gardens through the picture windows of the heritage-listed Old Mineral House and enjoy chef David Pugh’s premium produce and contemporary cuisine. Restaurant Two makes the top 50 on the Gourmet Traveller 2010 list of Australia’s best restaurants. It’s well deserved. The degustation menu is a favourite with those not on a budget. And the waiters know their way around an impressive wine list.
