Resthaven Western Community Services

Making a difference... Supporting older people and their carers.

Resthaven Community Services support eligible older people who live in the western metropolitan and inner northern metropolitan region.

Support provided by trained Resthaven home support workers may include help with household tasks, home maintenance, shopping, social activities, keeping healthy, personal care and nursing care. Support ranges from one hour a week for people with lower care needs to more complex planned and coordinated packages of care for people with high support needs. Practical support assists older people and their carers to:

    Stay living at home
    Stay independent and in charge of their own life
    Keep in touch with family, friends and the community
    Keep leading a healthy and fulfilling life
    Keep contributing to the community.

Individually tailored services are based on need, and may be provided in their home or at community-based venues.

Respite for Carers is also available at Regency Cottage and other local centres.
