Rock Lily is a restaurant in Mona Vale that has an eclectic menu specialising in gourmet pizzas. They serve everything  from bacon and avocado pizza to, thai style BBQ chicken salad and leek and potato soup. Before 4pm Fridays and Saturdays and all day Sundays there is a $10 menu.

    Apparently this restaurant has changed hands multiple times and it shows. To start with the service became a laughing point at our table as drinks took 30 minutes to arrive after ordering, food plates were slammed down on the table and the wait staff screaming 'parmesan?' in our ears was beyond odd. Once the food arrived things went downhill. I had the veal, mushroom and bacon fetuccine. The pasta was severely undercooked (there's al dente and then there's just raw) and the veal was to rubbery to even chew. My friend had avocado prawns but they tasted fishy and smelt off or frozen so she didn't eat any. My other friend ordered the vegetarian pasta with no dairy (she has visceral reactions to dairy) but realised quickly that her dish had cream all through it. When she asked to have it replaced the server began to lecture her on how pasta is cooked, even though my friend excplictly said at the begininning that she cannot stomach any dairy whatsoever.

    At the end none of us really touched our food and unsurprisingly the staff just came and took the plates away without asking us a question about 'how was everything' or even a courtesy. We braved coffees that arrived burnt beyond recognition, and my friend ordered a sticky date pudding that was bizarelly served cold (like not even warmed up and went cold, just straight out of the fridge and onto the plate.

    I would not recommend this restaurant. The food was awful, the service was slow and rude, the 'every wall is white and bare' ambience was dreadful, and the price is high. Avoid.

    I'd always driven past Rock Lily, but never actually been in until this week. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, the pizza was amazing and the dessert just as good. I'll definitely go back.

    OMG why is this place so quiet every time I'm there. The food is amazing (Garlic prawns are unforgettable), the service is excellent, the alcohol list was elaborate & the price was the most surprising part. It's rare for my partner & I to have such good service and spent such a reasonable price.......Go there people. Eye fillet is to dye for!

    Awesome. I loved the Restaurant, the workers were great and made sure that everything was perfect. It is as good as it gets, the best of the best.

    This place is great! i'm always schocked to see hardly any one in it. I think its because the restaurent is constantly changing ownership and closing down due to refurbishment. i've been to about 5 cocktail parties here, the outside bar area is amazing! great fun. There is a great variety of food, and the outside bar area is so funky and chic!
