My Roof seal experience- a late start on my job, me having to call the company repeatedly to get a start date, not informed about the risk of water damage to my furniture (told tarps would be supplied-but had to supply my own), four times as many tiles needed to be replaced as was originally quoted (the ones with chipped corners now prominently displayed along the front of my roof) lumps of mortar under the paint so I have a lumpy finish, and tonight looked out the window to find a hole in a tile, and scaffold still on my roof 3 1/2 weeks on....all for over $10000....thought I was getting a premium product but I was greatly mistaken

Just a quick note to say thank you. What a great job you have done on my roof, my house now looks amazing again. From the telemarketer who first called, to the Estimator to I signed with, the Tradesmen who did my roof and the office staff all were totally professional in their dealing. They kept me informed every step along the way.

I had 3 quotes and I went with Roof Seal because they explained exactly what was required to be done on my roof and the price was in line with the others.

I shall certainly continue to recommend "Roof Seal" to all and any of my friends that they can rely on excellent service from a fair dinkum Aussie Company. Most of my neighbours have now also signed up to get their roofs done and all are saying the same thing as I. Once again thank you for everything and keep up the great work, your making a positive difference.

When I rang Roof Seal all I asked for was a "Free Quote" and while the sales person who came to my place was amicable I felt I was being pressured to decide on the spot - When the sales person started writing up the job I thought this was going to be a written quote and then I see a contract/invoice to sign.
I went from feeling very comfortable in my own home to feeling very awkward and later extremely angry and annoyed to feel pressured in that situation.
All the BS about signing now to receive the "special pricing discounts", along with "the timing is right", "our tradies are ready to go" etc. constitutes to me a hard sell approach.
While they advertise no obligation free quotes this was never mentioned by the sales person and I believe is a deliberate ploy pushing you to sign up on the spot.
I had other companies around to quote on the same job and they have either left me a quote or will be sending me a quote - it is one of these that will get my work as I will have time to digest and compare the quotes.
Their "best" price was still a staggering $11,000.00 more than the next highest quote I received and my other quotes came from companies with over 20 years experience.
Stay right away from Roof Seal.

The "Salesman" said it would be 'like a new roof' - far from it. Expensive. They also ruined our patio roofing and claimed that it was already like that! Different subcontractor for every aspect of the job - all bagged the one befores work! Rough mortar slopped on and then painted over, tiles all wobbley and not aligned! Costly job for unsatisfactory work. Ring to complain about the job and ask them to fix something and they only say they will get the debt collectors onto you on the same day they "finished the work". You would think that big businesses were more accountable and experienced. Don't think that they will be worth paying that bit extra for - go with a cheaper, independant company and save the money I didn't!!

Re Roof Seal, I would advise strongly against using this company. Recently I obtained a quote from a very high pressure sales person, and eventually signed a contract and paid a deposit. We waited a while until the workmen came out and within 30 minutes of them having got onto the roof, they were called off the job by Roof Seal head office. The office then called us and told us that the job was worse than they first thought, and they decided they wouldnt go ahead with it, even though we clearly explained the condition of the roof to the estimator when he attended. It should have rung alarm bells when he didnt even climb onto the roof to see for himself, however he assured us that he had years of experience and knew what he was doing.

They refused to enter into any discussion. Although they strung us along, they had workers removing the scaffolding on our roof within an hour of calling off the job. They also said we would have to wait 1-2 weeks to get our deposit
