    A local pub for the locals. We weren't so local but felt like it when we were there. The food is better than average and the service okay but it's the atmosphere that we loved the most. Constant chatter, music here and there and an unpretentious feel about the place. Fun place to hang on a Friday night.

    I've been here several times now and I'm still a fan of the place. The vendors of the Bamboo bar are really sweet and welcoming. The service is prompt and the food is pretty good too.

    Personally, I prefer it when there's not so many people... early afternoon on a weekend or during the week is a quieter time but it doesnt feel like another trendy bar. If anything, the people I've seen frequent the place are more diverse than other Surry pubs. Still a good'un in my books.

    This pub recently had a change of owners and i have to be honest, i was a little hesitant after seeing some of the changes they were making (such as removing the pool table).
    The menu didn't help, looking a little too try-hard for this nice little local watering hole. but I'm here to say my fears have been put to rest. The food is really good at fairly standard pub prices. I had the wagyu beef burger and it was top notch.
    The new staff all seem friendly enough and, at the end of the day, they haven't changed too much. It'd be sad to see it turned into another trendy inner city bar with no vibe.

    Very small local pub essentially for the locals.
    The kitchen does $10 steak and a free schooner and it's great steak; other offerings in the kitchen include Jamaican fair such as jerk ribs and chicken as well as the usual pub food... One draw back is the amount of time you have to wait. Hopefully this will improve.
