The Royal on the Park has been nicely refurbished, however she still has that 'old stately lady' feel about her.
All the mod cons that that you would expect from a four star hotel including cable tv (mainly sport), inhouse movies, pool, room service, airconditioning...
We had a standard room which had bed, t.v. table, luggage rack, wardrobes and minibar. The ensuite was tiny, (a reminder of the age of the building), but well fitted out. Shower over bath.
Great location across the road from the gardens. Just a quick walk down Albert street to the Queen Street Mall. Parking costs an additional $15, but they allow you to come and go as many times as you like.
24 hour reception with excellent, friendly staffing.

Upholding a fine tradition in one of Brisbane’s landmark hotels, The Walnut is a relaxed and charming venue. Under the command of European-trained Gregory Devine, the menu makes the most of perennial favourites by giving them a modern twist. Consider caesar salad with Moreton Bay bug fritters and roasted parmesan crackling, or white chocolate and raspberry spring rolls with mandarin spiced ice cream.
