All I wanted to do was have a nice breakfast with my family for mothers day, not too much to ask right? Wrong!!! Went to have breakfast at Rydges resturant as it was given good reviews, however when we got there, it was busy (as I expected) however the person behind the counter didn't say we couldn't sit down, just asked for our money and that was it. We were told to sit anywhere, so we started searching..... no tables anywhere... go back to the counter, they say well you just have to wait or sit seperatly... are you kidding. Did you miss that it was mothers day and if I wanted to have breakfast on my own I would have stayed at home! We advised that if there were no tables why did you take our money? We were told quite rudely that they did tell us.... however they did not...... and gave us our money back with even an appoligy. If this is your kind of service perhaps you need to reassess if you are in the right industry.......really! -

So if you're looking for a huge night in the Shire and you like a good 40 min drive away you might as well check into this really nice hotel right on the beach. Stayed here for a couple nights with some mates who visited from out of town.
Room service was awesome and they other guests seemed to be quite OK with everything. Literally seconds to the beach and walking distance to all sorts of restaurants and cafes.
Not too expensive so its affordable accomodation in the area and definetly worth reccomending to any friends or family visiting from out of town
