    DO NOT board your pets here!! You are better off boarding your pets somewhere else. The management is rude and aggressive. I have never come across so many 'compulsory services' that you actually HAVE to pay them. Compulsory 'exit hydrobath' and compulsory 'tick & flea bath' to name a few. You have to pay whether or not you like it. Doesn't matter if your pets have already been treated with Advantix, they still insist the pets get treated again.

    This is a wonderful place where the staff are lovely, know what they're doing and look after their pets. The facilities are clean and tidy and dogs that don't get along are never boarded together. If an owner takes their pets in and they are matted to the skin of course they will get a hair cut that is appropriate, you can't brush matts out or the dog would suffer so shaving them is the most dog friendly option. I have never seen any wrong doing and all the animals are cared for as if they were their own. Some owners have to realise that if they don't look after their pet to the highest quality they'll have to deal with the consequences. I've never seen a place take so much time and energy to ensure the best welfare for the animals rather than letting them suffer as the owners would prefer. Look after your pets and you won't have them shaved. I would most definitely take my pets to Rydges again and again, they are the most animal focussed people i know and the staff are such friendly people.

    This place is the worst place to take your dog for grooming. When we went to pick up our dog they had completely shaved her hair off. She was scared and shivering like mad. The service was absolutely horrible. The staff were rude. Never take your dog there. If you are thinking of taking your dog for a clip do not come here.

    My dog needs a breed specific clip and when I returned for her I discovered they had shaved her!!! She now looks like a warthog and it will take many months to grow her out to anything resembling what she should look like. They also make you take your dog at 8.30 am and then just leave them there for anything up to 6 hours without telling you when the dog is finished. Never again!!

      If I were you dont put your dogs anymore to that place, the way they response to your comment is ridiculous! My friend inquire about putting his dog to that place thru email and they are not helpful at all..There's a lot of place around Brisbane that will give you a quality friendly athmosphere.

    I used this kennel the first time I needed to board my dog. I was really nervous about leaving him in a kennel for a week as I had never been away from him for that long, and I was nervous about other dogs injuring him. The staff were so friendly and helpful and completely put me at ease by giving me a tour of where he would sleep and play. I still worried about him the whole time I was away, but staff were kind enough to open early the day I wanted to pick him up, and told me how well behaved he was and that did not fret or stress while we were away, but made friends with new dogs.

      We also have used Rydges Pet Resort for Boarding and Grooming and were more than happy. The Staff were just great and Benny was at ease as soon as we arrived and running around with a couple of other dogs and when we picked him up the next Saturday he had been washed and groomed we were VERY happy as it was the best clip he had ever had.
      We will be taking him back soon.
